Pulled this off a 2004 Mazda RX8 that was put back to stock before being traded in....not sure if anything is missing as the guy only had the first short pipe install and the Filter installed on it, but had to take the cold pipe off the front that was not connected...may need a hose to connect the two together? I know these sell for $300 to $400 new.... First $70 gets it shipped to them via fedex ground.

That filter alone is too small and it's missing a ton of piping...

Here's a pic I saved before taking it off....you can see the longer installed fresh air section in front of the filter..looks like it's missing a section of tubing from the filter to the front tube...guess a 3" hose could be connected as well... or could be installed as pictured... Open to offers!

These are stamped Mazdaspeed...I attaches pics and lowered the price to $70 shipped. Good deal for someone who can round up the middle tube and extra hose

No, it's defiantly authentic just the original owner lost a pipe I'm guessing.

The real filter is behind the bumper support, same as AEM, you can get away buying an AEM filter for like $40 and probably get some kind of piping from AEM if you told them yours was damaged... but I'm not sure on exactly how much you'd save rather than just buying a new intake. You can still see some of the pipe sticking out from where it connects under the bumper support in the picture.

FYSA, you can get any diameter / length / composition of intake piping & silicone couplers from here:
Intercooler Pipe Fabrication - Silicone Intake Systems Auto Parts

So if you're looking to complete this intake on the cheap, I'd suggest buying it from the OP and then spending another $15 - 20 on the missing section of pipe and a few silicone couplers.

If memory serves me correctly, the AEM/Mazdaspeed is a 4 pipe set. here is a ref pic from my car.

This is technically what you have now.. minus the janky filter location.

You are missing the first pipe after the MAF, and then the smaller connecting pipe and then the donut gasket thing that bulges out a bit.

I contacted AEM about sourcing another one of the small pipes that connect to that front pipe and they quoted me
"70.82"
"Replacement pipe AEM-2-404AP, $ 70.82 ( pipe C, 4”) is available for direct purchase."

You still need to contact them for the pipe after the MAF and then the gasket that bulges.

and then the AEM filter, and its a good idea to get the dryflow cover that covers the filter.

and it looks like you only are supplying the buyer with 1 screen before the MAF, new owner will need one of those too.
