TX Track + Street Brake Setups **SOLD**

Category: Brakes
Price: $375
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): Series I, Series II
Location (US State/Canada/Int): TX
Item Condition: Used

I have 2 used brake setups available for cars with Sport brakes.

Setup 1 consists of: **SOLD**
1. Raybestos RPT front and rear rotors in 85% functional condition
2. Carbotech XP10 front track pads in 75% functional condition
3. Carbotech XP8 rear track pads in 85% functional condition
4. Carbotech 1521 front and rear street pads in 95% functional condition

This was a new setup I purchased shortly before I stopped tracking my car. The track pads and rotors have approximately 6 hours on them, which is very little for a momentum car. All of the pads are bedded to the rotors and can run on the same rotors harmoniously, meaning you can run the 1521s on the street and the XP10 / XP8 setup on the track, without changing rotors, as the compounds are compatible. Carbotech pads are very gentle and do not wear rotors quickly. (My Miata is currently running 3 year-old Centric rotors and have been through 6 sets of front and 3 sets of rear pads with very little wear, for example.)

This set cost ~$750 new. I am looking to get $375 plus actual shipping to CONUS.

Photos posted below.

Setup 2 consists of: **SOLD**
1. Stoptech Sport slotted front and rear rotors in 70% functional condition
2. Carbotech XP10 front track pads in 50% functional condition
3. Carbotech XP8 rear track pads in 65% functional condition

This was my previous track setup that was still fine, but I purchased Setup 1 to cover me at a 4 day instructor training school, reserving these as spares. These rotors ran Hawk DTC-30 pads for 1 season, were inspected and lightly turned (Carbotech pad compounds are not compatible with Hawk pad compounds), then ran the included set of Carbotech pads. They have plenty of life left in them. The pads have several track days left in them as well.

This set cost ~$500 new. I am asking $150 plus actual shipping to CONUS. Local sale in the DFW area is preferred.

Photos posted below.

I already have a set of XP pads I need to try to see if I like them, if I do I will ping you for yours. already have new rotors - they are to heavy to ship anyways.

So did you sell your car in the end?

Hey, where have you been?!

I prefer to sell each as a set, but it may make more economical sense to throw all the rotors in the recycle bin, unfortunately.

I did sell the car after owning it for 8 years. That was a difficult day to say the least.

For those not wanting to pay for shipping rotors, I will sell all the pads as one lot for $500 shipped to CONUS. If someone chooses this option, the rotors will go in the recycle bin behind the local brake shop.

New Carbotech pads currently cost ~$450 per set for the RX-8.
