SpeedSource front upper contol arm bushing kit

Brand new set of SpeedSource delrin/stainless solid bushings for the RX8 front upper control arms. Greatly reduces camber and steering deflection and also greatly reduces suspension movement friction forces. A must have for serious track enthusiasts and racers as per posts by Eric Meyer. Requires removing the OE bushing inserts first, which you may need a shop to do for you depending on your skill level and available equipment. Exceptional SpeedSource quality through and through.

$235 shipped in the US48, includes all four bushings to complete both sides and the SpeedSource installation paperwork.

Damn....something of yours I don't need ;)

Bump for a good guy....and great parts :)

TeamRX8 07-29-2011 09:46 PM

Only because you already have them

TeamRX8 07-29-2011 09:53 PM

I also have a set of new, unused SpeedSource solid aluminum rear subframe bushings for the serious racer. I purchased and used them for dimensions only to custom fabricate a set of polymer UHMW subframe bushings per our class rules. Requires removing the rear subframe and OE bushings to install them which is a pretty hardcore job.

.

How much do you want for the rear subframe bushings?

I had them on my 300zx and it changed my world!

TeamRX8 11-07-2011 09:49 PM

they are $350 plus shipping new (which these are 100% new and unused), how does $300 shipped sound

shadycrew31 11-08-2011 11:32 AM

Oh thats much more than I was planning on... It's a fair price for sure I just don't have that kind of money at the moment.

Let me finish collecting my turbo parts all I need now is a boost controller and waste gate actuator. I should be able to get these off you in December if you still have them.

Which is harder removing the old bushing or installing the new one ;). Especially with a seized bolt :(.

Great price for a great product! Good luck with your sale.

Haha was actually trying to give Team some crap since he lives close to me for the time being. I have yet had a chance to pick his brain on the rx8 in person lol. :cwm27:

its the sleeve man... its all about the sleeve.

TeamRX8 11-11-2011 07:47 PM

The new bushings slide right in with some persuasion from a rubber mallet. It takes a press or air hammer setup to get the OE bushing sleeves out. The subframe bushings are a major air hammer effort.

dannobre 11-11-2011 08:22 PM

I did mine with an air chisel...took about 5 min a side. Then I cleaned up the arms and pressed the bushings in :) ( backwards the first time :) )

TeamRX8 11-12-2011 12:02 AM

Yeah, I meant air chisel rather than air hammer

shadycrew31 11-12-2011 11:20 AM

Sadly I have no air anything...

For the upper control arms I devised another plan.

Less fun... You have no idea, I got the lower control arm sleeves out with a hammer and metal chisel. that took a total of 15 hours.

TeamRX8 11-14-2011 01:46 AM

yeah, that probably bent them
