Hey guys hows it going. Have a complete rx8 engine for sale 6pd manual ( everything minus lower intake manifold)

I ended up buying a complete rx8 that was damaged at the port from an insurance company. the only damage to the car was the roof pillar. I DO NOT have any other parts for sale so please dont ask!



Includes: Flywheel/clutch , starter, engine mounts, header, throttle body coils etc. These are all near new since the motor only has 8 miles.








The only reason the motor was removed was to build a race car. Have a chassis in white and putting a bigger motor into it. ( have to be able to keep up with the big boys )




So cal pick up ONLY! No shipping. Engine is NOT a reman, pulled out of a car with ONLY 8 miles. Asking $2500 picked up. O.B.O will throw in tranny for $3500 all together.

thats $4500 with a tranny ( new tranny is $2k+ from mazda ) Engine with all accessories ( starter, alternator , clutch, engine mounts , header, engine harness , ecu ) is $3500. I think its more then a fair price.

Im located in Bellflower/Cerritos area ( 605/91 freeways )

 

I wouldn't have pictured a engine with 8 miles on the odometer to look like that. Unless those 8 miles we driven in the sand dunes. Good luck with the sale. Bumps

 

all you need is one car wash and about a month of sitting...

 

dude..that things been sitting for 12-14 months. ( I do turn it over by hand once a week to make sure nothing sticks )

I got the car in dec of 2007, and didnt pull everything out until march of 08. So a motor sitting around in a shop for 12 months at the min.

I could have just sprayed the motor down with some engine cleaner to make it look pretty, but that would be deceiving. Id honestly love to keep it for a transplant into an rx8 shell ( we all know theres going to be A LOT of blown motor rx8s avaliable in the near future due to the poor design on the renisis )

 

the renesis, like in your 07 , is actually a very healthy design. The mop is whats lacking and even then its not a "poor" design, just could be better. Premix a renesis from day one and do what you are supposed to and it will last forever.

Engine builders have confirmed the near 0 wear irons, the exhaust port is on the side plate, so no issues with rotor housings, and it makes almost the same power NA as the twin turbo REW does from the factory.. how is that a poor design?

Im glad your staying with a rotary for the swap but downgrading the people on a forum who you're trying to sell to is NOT a real smart move.

sorry to offend anyone , but by poor design I did mean the lack of oiling. That is the key to making these things last. ( Idemitsu premix FTW! )

Im not going do knock that one bit. For a street car the engine is great, but in order to be competitive in a race series where there are no rules for engine mods, the stock motor cant cut it going up against 500-600 HP STI's, Evos, 350z's etc.

The price does state OBO but please no stupid offers like ill give you $1k. Something reasonable I will take because in all honesty I don't have any use
for this setup.
