Rx8 vis carbon fiber hood & trunk rx-8 - fs or trade - socal

Here’s the deal. I bought them the other day from a former RX8 owner and was extremely mislead as to the condition of the trunk, and I was told it was a real VIS. It’s as much my fault as his because I didn’t inspect it well enough and was in a hurry to get home. I am not that kind of person, so I have taken many pictures and will try to describe it as accurately as possible.
The hood is the VIS "JS" carbon hood. I would say it is an 8.5/10. There is a very small chip on one corner of the hood and there are a few hazy spots toward the rear of the hood. All in all, it’s in great shape, no cracks, no "funny" spots except for what I went over. The design is cool, just not my style. Fitment is very good!
The price is what I would like to get back out of them. I will accept any reasonable offer. I will also sell the pieces separately, just make me a decent offer. The hood is on VIS’ website for $800 and the trunk for $760 (assuming it was real lol). I would be willing to trade the hood for any another style of carbon hood (must be a good quality hood in good shape). I’d trade the trunk for a carbon front lip or anything cool really. I’m pretty open.

Hey There, I am selling or trading a VIS Carbon Fiber Hood and a "VIS" Carbon Fiber Trunk. They are off of an 06 Mazda RX8. I believe both will fit all years, but please don't verbally assault me if I'm incorrect.

The trunk has a VIS badge on it, but I highly doubt it is VIS. The weave is different and the quality is not that of the hood. It is in fair shape and has numerous surface scratches and some bubbling of the clear coat. It’s not terrible, but I’d rather spend more money on a better condition one.

well, ive gotten a few pms. i was trying to get rid of the carbon hood and trunk first lol, didnt think the wing would grab that much attention. I have 3 people saying its real, and 1 guy that offered my $100 shipped lol!

There is nothing like a stick or something to tell you if it's real or not.
But the real one comes with metal bracket and the shape of the wing is sharper compare to the replica. It's also heavier, and should fit right over the stock spoiler holes.
MSRP for real is about average about 900 to 1k, painted.

Like shinka said.... It's heavier... Meaning trunk would close without any force..... Plus the brackets has a stamp L and R....... Hope that helps... But 100 for any auth... Ms wing.... Lol
Grip... I may know someone in SFV who might pick up on you CF trunk and wheels. PM R2D2X8 about it, he's been anxiously looking for parts to replace what's stock on his car.
