This is very nice upgrade in power and driveability, basically you will have JD spec power. I had it for 3 years on my 04 RX-8 and it worked great, recently got 2010 S2 RX-8 so time to pass this great tune to someone else to enjoy.

Asking $375 plus shipping

ran it (street and track) for 3 years in my 04 rx8 and it was vast improvement (power, driveability, response, etc.) over stock ecu..
I remember when I first got it my top speed on the track straights caught me off guard in the braking zones. Then next session I swapped stock ecu back in and it was not only very noticeable difference on the straights but also mid-range coming off corners....
so it works very well...

Did you purchase this unit new? As I understand from amemiya san; you have to bring your ecu so they could load your car's data log to the re-a ecu to get a proper tune.

That's because the ECU u have does not have PATS enabled (most early JDM cars dont have it)
but u will get a CEL if this is installed into any other car.
If you know how to tune ECU , then you will know there is nothing magical about RE-Amemiya ECU.
try Racing Beat's V2 ECU then get back to me, oh btw it just cost 300 and u never gonna have any issues, so tell me, why would anyone wanna pay 375 for yours ?

Racing Beat just sells the ecu re-flash for $300. I am selling whole spare ECU not just the re-flash.
ECU by itself costs ~$300 so for $375 you get ECU and RE-Amemiya tune which is really a great deal!
does that compute now for you?

Really?
Boo, Re-Amemiya has their reputation but I wouldn't call them better than Racing Beat, and lots of their stuff is really overrated. and I'm sure I had WAY MORE experience with RE-Amemiya products than you do.
If Re-Amemiya is so darn good, Is that the reason why Mazda had Racing Beat to help making Furai ? you know, the one burnt by Top Gear.
boo a used ecu, hell I got 2 ECUs @ junk yard for free. even on Ebay I got myself 3 used ECU for 80 bux shipped. so ur point is moot.
Well, good luck with sale, although I kinda doubt anyone would buy it tho.

Guys, I'm not going to delete the posts here because there is a lot of critical information that a buyer might need to be aware of, but please don't get into a debate about which option is better. That does not belong in a FS thread and is considered thread crapping.

it will work as good as any ECU in turbo application i.e. you will still need an alternate way to tune it for turbo use whether Cobb, Adaptronic, etc.
However, since the Cobb would flash over it and Adaptronic would bypass most of the ECU control the advantage of the RE-A tuning is lost ...
