Racing beat ashtray pod/gauges and custom defrost pod
hello, i have up for sale2 guage pods with gauges first one is a custom gauge pod that another forum member made. He use to sell alot of them on here..well i sold my car so i have no use for this thing..its never been installed..id like $70 shipped without a gauge or $120 with a new autometer phantom 2 boost/vacc or 200 if you want a phantom digital fuel pressure guage.
the second is the racing beat ashtray pod, this ashtray pod comes with a set of three autometer sport comp digital gauges. which are way way better then the gauges racing beat sends with the pod. here are links to each one of these gauges so you can see how pricey they are! but also how awesome they look, very high quality. the wideband alone cost me $300 and im only asking $400 shipped to anywhere in usa..if you want everything pictured here ill do $475 shipped!

dude i know im sorry..i even tried setting the camera to auto adjust and thats teh best i could get it by manual or auto..perhaps an issue with the camera?? i dont know **** about cameras so i couldnt tell ya

where does that 1st go exactly?
edit: the defrost vent to the left of the driver's instrumental cluster i imagine, from maz's post.

Not a real good pic, but here it is in my application. Least you can see how it fits. You pop out the old vent and snap this one in.
You could run the wire(s) through the vent channel, I just chose not to because of the gauge I was using.
I can tell you this much as well.......It fits tight and does not rattle. Do a search on "Vent POD" for more pictures of what people did.

thanks maz, great info! not sure how i completely missed out on this product before, ha ha
is there any "useful" use for n/a application? i love the concept, but have no plans of boost or anything, so what gauge would i get? engine temp? a non oem oil temp?

thanks maz. i'll read that thread. i like the concept of just a single pod up there on that vent, seems really cool. i'm sure the rb is useful but to me it's too cluttered, would much rather them put only 2 pods down there instead of cramming 3! besides, me needz a change holder somewhere!

thats what the console is for man..or the pocket on the left of steering column lol.. this rb pod seriously looks factory, if you use it with the racing beat gauges it does stick out and look clutterd but with these all black sport-comp digitals it looks almost OEM, especialy when they are off, because they just look blacked out down there which looks even cooler...and the red numbers and white led lighting make them match perfect at nite time. Dont buy a new RB pod for $400 bucks that has old mechanical gauges with oil lines running itno the cabin..screw that! haha here you could have these awesome sport comps which are the top of the line when it comes to autometer for $400 shipped! the wideband alone costs $299!! if you wanted to buy a new one, and the boost cost me $150 and $90 for water temperature the way i was going to set it up was the wideband in the defrost pod and boost/ water temp which are included and an oil pressure <-(not included)....

If the vent pod is still available, Ill take it without the gauge. PM your paypal info. Ive never seen a pod like that. Thats really cool!

the defrost pod is sold, but i still have everything else!! people bought without the gauge

Also, there was a thread were he was thinking about making dual ones. Meaning on stacked on top of the other but offset a little bit. Not sure he ever decided or not to do it.

only sold so far is the defrost pod! all gauges and ashtray pod still available..also i had bought a brand new OEM set of floor mats when i had my rx8, i had to buy the whole set even though all i needed was the drivers side mat! so i have 3 brand new never stepped on floor mats with the OEM rx8 logo and all that..ill post pics if there is any interest

PRICE DROP to $350 for all 3 gauges and ashtray pod!! get it before i sell everything separate for much more $$ i got alot of people just wanting a gauge or just wanting the pod...
