I'm looking for an OEM illuminated 6-Speed shift **** for my S1. I'm hoping to find a brand new one or new like if possible. Please show me what you got and how much you're willing to sell it for. I will pay good money for the right one. Hope some of you guys got it, thanks!

I know there are a few floating around eBay for ~$180, and I have a broken and partially prepared one that I would be willing to sell. The wiring all went to **** and so I replaced it with a new led, however The the braket that held the top in place broke so you would have to epoxy some plastic in so you can secure it. I can post pictures if you would like.

I got two non-led one (one in pieces) , I would really like to see how they put the led in there

 

SO.... These are most of the parts of for the illuminated shift ****. I bought this piece off of UK eBay about a year ago, broken. Normally there is a round circuit board that sits inside of the round hole in the top of the silver plastic rotary emblem that is supported by a plastic bar. When I got the ****, that plastic bar was broken, and the circuit board was not working. I fixed the board, but since the bar was missing it rattled and eventually broke again. Without the bar I was also forced to use glue to secure the rotary emblem, which wasn't a great solution. Until yesterday I had a off the shelf led nestled in the top of the **** that illuminated the shift pattern sufficiently but after fixing my other illuminated shift **** (I know.... I have a problem) I decided to give this one a more professional fix. I will be cutting the bottom of the rotary emblem and epoxying in some clear polypropylene across so I can use the factory bolt to hold the thing together. Im also going to buy some perf board from radio shack tomorrow (sigh, black friday) and throw something together. Not sure if they make a 12v surface mount LED....

 

I know that superbrightled.com or something like that make tiny LED boards , I remember using small one when I did my LED Tailight mods

But then if you connect it directly to 12v , you might need resistors & dimmer

 

Hello all, i have not found an illuminated shift **** yet. Still trying so if the one you're putting together ends up coming together great, i wouldn't mind paying for that and a little extra for the labor

 

me neither did g have any succes , I decided to do it myself, I'll probably do a DIY write up on rx7club once I'm done ( almost finish )

 

Have you tried calling Mazda to see if they are still available?
