OEM Catalytic Converter

Category: Engine - Exhaust
Price: $1
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): Series I, Series II
Location (US State/Canada/Int): TX
Item Condition: Used

Looking for an OEM cat. Need it to be in like-new condition, don't need rotting guts. I see the RP Supercat is also popular here. I just don't want her to have to worry about a CEL.

The GF has a 2004 RX8 and the dealer wants $1200 to replace the cat. After some searching I see this is about average - that's just insane. I don't think she'll fall under the 8yr/80k either.

I'm a member of G35Driver since 2004 (same name). 7,600+ posts. iTrader rating of +15.

Let me know! Thank you!

Pitting? dont know exactly what you mean by pitting....

the pipe inside and out are not pitting, the front bracket is rusted and the bolts stripped, but I will knock them out before shipping and clean up the rust. The cat shows no signs of being clogged, only replaced it because got a good deal on an RP supercat locally. I can send pics if you want.

Yeah man, go ahead and send me some pics. I work 12 hour shifts, so I'm sorry my replies are late.

I owned an MRS and the cats failed all the time and "pitting" was an early sign.

I can't find a good pic real fast - but this is pitting and it looks the same, but on the honeycomb of the cat..
