Okay so my car is throwing the error code p2259. my mechanic says it has to do with a valve that my OEM filter had. i have an AEM cold air intake so now im looking for the OEM cheap just so i can pass inspection.

I have no mechanical skills so excuse my lack of knowledge

 

Have you tried pulling the valve and cleaning it? I don't know much about the AEM intake, I have the K&N but I cleaned everything up with installed it MAF and all.

 

That code has nothing to do with the intake or air filter. The secondary air injection system is the air pump and it's control solenoids. Search the forum and you'll find threads talking about fixing that code. Get a new mechanic too.
