So here's my problem. The power nut on my starter solenoid broke off. The starter is in working order just looking for the solenoid. I don't have much to spend. If anyone has a broken starter or one of the old starters they are willing to part with I would be very grateful. I'm located in Newport RI. If anyone can help can pay for shipping plus a little for your trouble. I have a 2004 MT.

i think i might have the first gen smaller starter in my garage. ill check if its still there. do you know if the part is the same between the two?

 

I am not 100% sure, but it shouldn't be much different. I believe they only changed the starter not the solenoid. I could be wrong but I don't want to junk my starter due to a nut breaking off the solenoid. Solenoid is held on by two Phillips screws and is the only piece I need. If I could open it up and repair it I would but it seems like a sealed part.

sorry man, i looked last night, no dice. when i was stripping my old car i tossed it in the scrap pile. figured no one would want a s1 starter
