Can I ask why you need to buy an engine? With the 8 year warranty on engine cores, pretty much every North American RX-8 should still be under warranty.

Unless of course you have crazy mileage, have done something to get the warranty voided (i.e. turbo or something) or were working on some other crazy project. In that case, never mind me.

 

Yeah im in aus and i didnt get a warrenty deal like that so keen to get new engine/rebuilt cause mine is pretty stuffed

 

is that the going price now? just asking 2200 isn't a bad price IMO, and watch getting from yards or them places that say they are "JDM" as i've seen alot of 4g63's and 2jz/1jzs come in and have zero across the board and looked like they have been used as a boat anchor..

When the engine finally arrived, it was $2001. + 90 for gaskets and seals. I didn't get warranty 'cause the car had 120,000 on it.
