Arrow MS Replica Front: Primed REDUCED PRICE

I have a replica MS front bumper that I bought off another forum member. I had a body shop do some prep work on it. It's very close to being ready to put color on it. Fiberglass work was done on it to eliminate some of the imperfections. It has several coats of primer on it. It needs to be wet sanded, and perhaps a bit more prep work done, but nothing close to when I first bought it.

Here's the link to the initial sale:

https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-parts-sale-wanted-44/mazdaspeed-replica-front-sides-128720/

In the end, I didn't even put this bumper on my car because I decided I didn't want to mess with remounting my fog lights on the new bumper. I am just running my MS side skirts with the AP front lip. (The side skirts I'm using are from the same source as this bumper and have worked out well.)

I'd like to have $350 for the bumper, as I have definitely invested into body work that was needed on this piece to get it ready to paint/mount. I can't attest at all to the fit of this bumper since I never used it. All I can say is that the side skirts worked out just fine.

Bumper is brand new.

Michael

EDIT: Price reduced to $250.

I'm sure each manufacturer would have somewhat different solutions to this, but who knows?

In my case, they just mounted with screws on each end of the wheel well. (I'm sure I could have put double sided tape on them, and if I find that I need to, I can hit them with a few screws underneath. So far, those things haven't been needed in my opinion.

But, yeah, that's off-topic. I would like to sell the BUMPER!

who made it? anyone can see this sale and deduce that it just didn't fit on your car, so you're getting rid of it.

sometimes you just have to let things go. $350 isn't worth ruining anyone's day or your name whether it's mere screen name in some forum or your real one.

if you want to be our hero, give us the name of the manufacturer or vendor so people can avoid buying that brand.

I have no idea who made it, or I'd have said. I linked to the original ad (where I bought the pieces from), and if you'd taken the time to read that ad, you'd see that the original seller didn't know who made it - therefore I don't either.

If you are able to deduce that this piece didn't fit on my car, then you must be a rich man, because you have gifts far above and beyond the normal human's abilities (and according to you, everyone else in the world does as well). I NEVER attempted to put this bumper on my car, genius. It could fit like a glove, or it may require some additional fitment by a body shop (which from what I've read many times, most non-OEM body parts do anyway). As I mentioned, the side skirts that came with this sale originally worked out fine. No reason to think that the bumper would be worthless.

You are calling into question, both my integrity and the original seller's by insinuating that I'm trying to "unload" something on unsuspecting forum members. You don't know a THING about me. The truth here is exactly as I said. I decided not to mess with the MS bumper because I decided that I'd be happy with just adding an AP lip (which I have since bought) and the ability to keep my fog lights right where they are (and not have to pay $75 or something like that for the MS fog light mounts).

If you don't want the bumper, that's fine. But for you to call into question my integrity (and that of the previous seller's), and to crap all over my thread, is completely uncalled for. You are the one who is hurting your reputation in this forum by posting what you did. Please refrain from dumping in my thread in the future.

sorry if i came off accusing you right away.

to settle this, how's this? put it on your car now (it takes a few minutes). take 3 pictures for me (or your other potential buyer). one with hood closed, one close up near the left side marker, one close up near the right side marker.

if it fits like you said, this can only help you and you sould be able to sell this in no time.

in fact, if it fits fine, i'll buy it myself if u take care of s/h.

and if you want i can delete what i had said.

Though he doesn't have a post count as high as a moderator, he's been a member for a while now. Simmer down with the insinuations.

Thanks, Rachael

Not likely that I'm going to have time to mess around with the bumper at this point (in terms of taking my bumper off, putting this on, taking pics, and uploading them to this ad). I'm about to deploy to Iraq, and I have a ton to get handled before I leave, all of which is far more important than whether I sell this bumper or not.

After I get back, if it hasn't sold before I go, I can do what you said. But either way, for $350, even if there are some fitment issues, I'd think the buyer would be prepared to have someone get them fixed up at the body shop as they're in the process of having the bumper painted anyway. I've already had a body shop do quite a bit of work toward getting this bumper ready to paint. He didn't mount it up on my car, however, as I decided not to use it while he was in the process of working on it.

I am not claiming this is perfect, either in fit or finish. All I know is that the sides fit and look fine. Just as I had to do with the sides, the buyer should expect that they'll have a certain amount of costs to fit and paint the non-OEM pieces. This is obviously a fraction of the cost of an authentic MS bumper. My sides are not perfect, nor did I pay for perfection. But for the $, I'm very happy with them. I couldn't have afforded to put authentic MS sides on my car, and this is a great option for me.

If there isn't a market for a MS bumper for someone in a similar situation, then nobody will buy this. It's that simple.

Thanks,

Michael

Merry Christmas

$250 brand new MS replica bumper. Almost ready for final coat of paint.

I WILL ship....and shipping cost likely not much more than $50 to $75 as long as you're not in Zimbabwe!

Merry Christmas!

Last Chance for 4 months

Ok, bump once more before I leave for Iraq. If someone wants this before I leave, they need to get on it quickly. I'll be able to ship it out this week.

Otherwise, I'll put it back up when I get back.

Hope 2008 is a great year for everyone!

Yes, totally willing to ship. It's in a great box as we speak.

Problem is, you waited too long to ask me this question. I'm leaving for Iraq in the morning. I'll be back in 90 days or so.

If you're still in the market for it then, I'll be glad to send it out to you.

Do me a favor:

Make a note somewhere to PM me sometime after 4/13/08 about this if you still want it, and I'll take care of you.

Sorry the timing is no good. I'd have gladly shipped it out to you.

Michael
