FWIW, spent a month in Europe last summer....and Paris was at the bottom of the list of the places we went. Did not enjoy it at all. Germany and England were much better experiences.....also, you're US $ doesn't go very far. Our month in Europe ended up being more than 10k, and this was staying at youth hostels and crappy BnB for about 80-120 bucks a night.
