Did those key fobs come from an rx8? I've only seen the flip key and the credit card-type key.

flip and card type come from 05 and up

You are correct, they are unique. Unless you have the same "code" key it will not work. There are ~25 different keys, the dealer will have a master key lock set with the code labled on each but they wont tell you which one you have. Sorry

I bought my 8 used and it never came with a keyless entry

 

You program it with the key in the ignition it's pretty simple I forgot how to do it exactly , but the service writer did it for me for free , and it only took like 10 seconds

 

Can I get just one of the keyless entry remotes?
