Hymee SC Kit - New in original boxes - USA
2 Attachment(s)
I need to clean out my garage and I have too many other auto projects going right now to get to installing the Hymee SC kit. :squint:
I've got everything in original pacakaging from Australia, never installed. Make me an offer...I need to move it out in the next 3-4 weeks. I expect there will be ~$200 worth of shipping cost to most locations in the USA. I've got over $US9000 invested. FYI...this is not a 'plug-and-play' kit. It will need someone willing to take the time to get it up and running with a proper tune. Kit includes Hymee Pro Tuner software, and there are a few guys on the board who have experience with that. PM me with any detailed quesitons Aerohead |
OMG....
I wonder if my wife will let me spend my relocation assistance check on this... :wallbash: I seriously doubt this opportunity would every come back around, even at full price! |
doooo eeeeeeeetttttttt
|
Sad to see your kit go to someone else but hope someone willing and able will buy it and put the work in picks it up. It would be neat to have another person in the US install this kit.
|
if this is still forsale when i get my tax return ill be all over it
|
good luck getting the base program with necessary VIN number encoded as required to make that software work
|
I'd ignore it and just use my in-hand AP, if I would put it on my 8.
I admit the possibility that I might hold it to put on the Renesis that will go in my Miata :suspect: Then I'd just need another AP, but that is on the parts list anyway. |
When did Cobb release an AP for the Miata? I see your continuing on your trend, so sad ....
|
They didn't, but I have a 99 Miata with a blown engine and questionable transmission and I've always wanted to snag a wrecked RX-8 to pull the guts out of and transplant into it... been planning it for a couple years now (though it having a blown engine is relatively new), pulling together the challenges, the solutions, etc... to minimize the number of roadblocks once I start. I would be getting an AP for that Renesis/ECU combo.
Just like you, sometimes I have a real reason behind what I post, even if I don't actually spill every single detail each time. |
Ha anyone seen how large the IC on one of these units is? Check it.

How much power can you get from that kit?
|
OMG... i hate that I dont have 4 grand to drop... glws
|
There are very few people in the world that have had this system installed and properly tuned. The SC it self has much greater potential then a stock engine can handle.... But its all dependent on the money you are willing to spend. If someone put down some serious cash to have a new SC pulley and possibly new wide belt system this thing could put down some good numbers.
If anyone is looking for more info on the Very unique kit please read: https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-major-horsepower-upgrades-93/hymee-supercharger-owners-thread-203337/ |
well I wouldn't have posted this here normally, but since you want to promote it that way it is only fair to say that they should research all of the high HP SC attempts and understand the one fatal flaw to that belief.
as a simple low boost HP adder, an SC setup is no problem though |
I won't promote my kit anything other than what it is.....a work in progress, that as it sits provides less than 10psi of boost. The blower itself is capable of much more, and maybe Hoss will be the guy to prove that on the rotary.
I've got a similar blower putting out 17psi and over 650rwhp on a V8 Mustang...very different beast than a rotary RX, however. |
LOL no not me. I dont need all that HP I just like a big fat power curve that has some oomph in any gear. For the time being I plan on sticking with the stock pulley set up.
I paid alot more then this for my kit its a Great deal. |
