GROM IPD3 + BT Audio Integration Kit

Category: Accessories
Price: $80
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): Series I
Location (US State/Canada/Int): PA
Item Condition: Used

Fully functional GROM Audio IPD3 w/ Bluetooth Integration kit and noise cancelling microphone.

I used this setup for a couple years on my 2004 w/ stock HU firmware 9.55 with zero issues. It's about as solid a solution as it gets for integrating aux input and full A2DP bluetooth integration with Android and Apple phones / tablets.

$80 + actual shipping any where on the planet. I do not believe you'll find a better deal. I'll likely take this to fleabay in a couple weeks if no one picks it up here.

PayPal only (prefer gift otherwise add 4%). It will ship with full insurance.

How was this connected? Can you still use the stock CD changer?

nope... you lose your changer but single cd still works. you'll have no need for CDs after installing it though

The BT audio sink works really well for full phone integration too. you can answer and drop calls right from your steering wheel controls and the microphone does a decent job of cutting out background noise.

it is.... i believe it is actually inside your HU. When you pull the HU there is a section in the middle of it that holds the changer (I think but am not 100% as I never had one). On some models it holds a cassette player / etc.

Anyway, on the main HU there is connector on the back of it that the changer plugs in to. The plug in the last picture posted here goes into that connector rendering your changer kaput.

Damn I just picked one of these up full price a few weeks back. Where did you mount the mic?

Best spot is in the little crevice between the cluster and steering wheel.

Interested in taking this. How hard is the install and do you have instructions by chance?? Does it look stock still when installed except for the Mic, is everything mounted behind the dash?

If you are familiar at all with the radio controls and layout of the back of the HU you can install this (and uninstall it) through the glovebox opening.

I explain the install procedure up a couple posts in this thread. It is pretty straight forward.

The easiest place for the IPD3 is to just put it in your glove box and route the mic wires to your location of choice however you see fit... yes ... all very stealth like.
