sad and excited. my family is growing. couldn't sort out having two car seats in the back. at 30k, it was staring to show age (rattles and such, nothing major). I needed more space. Of course, I didn't want to give up high revving and great handling. so i bought a barely used 07 quattroporte.

i'll miss the 8. i'll probably kick myself later on for not keeping around as a third car (my wife has a toureg). but the QP is a great car too. I like it.

I'll miss this community. And I'll miss this car more than any other i've owned. I'll probably still wave to modded 8s and 7s. I think it says a lot that I had to go to masarati to replace it.

well, i have some stuff i won't be needing anymore. prices include shipping in lower 48.

1 REDUCED! COBB AP 07 MT, 285. (has several tunes, at least one good one) ... sold!
2. AFE SS, 150. 10000 miles ... sold.
3. stormy bule appearance pack less front air dam (so side and rear areo flares) new in box, 75 shipped
4. almost a full case of protec r. 50 shipped. (was 80 new)

You going to sell anything else related to the 8? Just curious if anything more will be available.
If you need any stock parts before you get rid of the car, let me know as I have some things left we could swap out unless you're ready to just let it go.

guess i could have salvaged the exhaust and intake given that i'm sure plenty of those stockers are laying around.

ah well. hassle.

i already sold the clears. sorry. i know those are sort of a hot item.

i have some other little stuff. various lights, case of protec r, random pieces of stock intake, an oil cap , oil, and i have a very nice pp02 shift **** i think i'll hang on to.

and yes, the four door is 400 hp. not sure how much is getting to the wheels though; a lot of it i expect. i got the sport gt version with the duo select. it was the next logical step, IMO.

I have two kids seats in the back...granted it sucked for the first year with my daughters forward facing....fortunately half of it was when my 8 was in storage, but any reason to get a car with a bigger back seat at a good price with a Ferrari engine
can't say I wouldn't do the same.

yeah, i can cram a rear facer behind my driver seat, but i have to move up where i'm not completely comfortable. then when it turns around, it would be over.

i saw an opportunity, and i took it. i told my wife it's just a family car. can't wait till she hears the engine. lol.

Good luck with sale, if another 07 MT buys it, the PPO2 tune will work (just have to rescale injectors and MAF)

^you wouldn't have wanted them. i sanded them to get some overspray off from when i painted them. they bagan to rust.
