D'oh. I missed out on this by 1 day the last time it was for sale, and now I've lost my source to transport it. Free bump I guess.

How loud is it?

The previous owner of the exhaust was turbo, and said it sounded amazing with the Greddy kit and BNR upgraded turbo. I heard this exhaust on his car after he took the kit off and went NA and its pretty damn loud on an NA 8. Kinda like an F1 car but still has deepness at low RPMs. |

By far one of the best sounding exhasut ive had at high rpms. Ita very drony on n/a at low rpms. But its an awsome exhaust.
Bump for the previous owner of this exhaust^ and this is another video of it on the actual Speedsource Rx8, you can get a little better view of the exhaust and hear it. Then again like mentioned its a ported 20B so cant really compare sounds to a renesis. |
has this been test fitted in a car yet? the car in the videos your showing is not really an RX8, it is a hybrid of the shell and more tube framed than you would think as well the body panels are all custom made to look like an RX8. totally different transmission tourque tube, engine and drive shaft than we have.
Can you get me the contact info for whom you purchased it from so I can ask them whom they sourced it from. Thanks, Stephen |
If it's from a Speedsource built car, I had assumed it was from a former Koni challenge car which uses a Renises and a stock unibody.
As I recall, the Rolex 3 rotor tube frames have Iannetti thermal reactors, and I believe Inconel piping. (The surplus cars I've seen posted for sale have not had the Iannetti parts as they were actually leased, not owned by the teams.) |

The previous owner of the exhaust actually posted in this thread. I've seen and heard the exhaust on another Rx8 but never actually installed it on my own. |
i have had my eyes on this exhaust for a long time..he was about to sell it for 300 if i am not mistaken, and stigma8 took it..i wonder how it sounds.. :)

PM me if you're interested! I'm willing to work out a price. I actually heard it on Stigmas car after he took of the turbo kit and this thing is LOUD! He said it sounded amazing when he was turboed. Also if you're turboed might have to get retuned to run this exhaust, or so I've heard from stigma, It drops backpressure alot. |
Bump

Sorry guys, It looks like it was made for a regular header not a long tube header. I have a speed source header (much longer than stock) so it didn't just bolt up to it. We will work on it and post something up in a few months!
