FS: Yakima bike rack - setup for RX-8 - $300 OBO

2 Year old Yakima bike rack for sale. Parts list is below. It is currently setup for an RX-8. I used it both on my 2006 Shinka and my 2009 GT. Rack was only put on the car when the bike was used and immediately removed following use and stored in my garage. Rack is in excellent condition and worked great for me.

4 - Q Towers #8000124 x4
2 - 48" Crossbars #8000408
2 - Front Q60 Clips #8000660
2 - Rear Q60 Clips #8000660
2 - SproketRocket #8002090
6 - SKS Lock Cores #8007206
1 - 44" Fairing #8007048

Total Yakima Retail Value $781

Pictures attached.

Not sure I want to ship this but would like to sell to someone in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area. Will assist in attaching it to their car the first time.

Looking for $300 or best offer.

If interested, respond to forum and I will send you information on how to contact me.

Brgds,

Mark

Yakima still available

I am looking for someone in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area that I can deliver the rack to or someone that is willing to pick it up. Shipping it would be difficult.

How do you like the fairing? Does it reduce noise for real? I actually own a Yakima system too, I'm just curious.

I've used the rack both with and without the fairing. The fairing substantially reduces rack noise. Without the fairing I would hear some howling around the cross members. With the fairing there is no howling. I would highly recommend on...especially since they only cost around $60.

if you dont have a buyer you could open it up to a larger market (i.e. other cars) and i will take the Q60 clips off your hands I have the rack for my wifes car but i would rather have it for mine.

Right now, I prefer to sell it as a whole package...maybe if I can't find anybody to purchase the rack then I will think about parting it out...but I'm not there yet.

To bad...I never liked the trunk racks for fear of scratching the car. The roof rack has never scratched the car. The only disadvantage is your bike will catch some bugs in the summer.

I'm going to try to find a way to take this off your hands... I'll let you know ASAP. Don't wait on me though if someone else is willing to pay for shipping or something.

No problem...let me know. I would prefer someone local as it makes it easier on me and cheaper on the purchaser as shipping would be expensive.

rx8montreal...I would love to sell to you, but shipping packaging is going to be expensive. I will have to get a quote to have it professionally packaged so that it won't get damaged. If you are serious, I will investigate. But I would estimate packaging and shipping in the $150 range. I had a computer packaged and shipped last year and it cost $60...this is much bigger and has many large pieces. Let me know...

Alright... I've found a way to pay for this, and like I said I'm in Lewisville. However I'll be in Dallas today from 10:30 - 2 or so.
