The Intake is more for sound than anything else, even with your homebrew intake im sure the power gains were minimal at best. So all in all, i wouldnt bash it, to me its more for looks / sound. As for the vibration noise, i got yah covered on that! I actually used a few strips of audio sound deadener left over from my trunk install and put a few strips inside the intake, took care of that no problem
I love opening my hood and seeing all the CF, so sexy under the hood with my MS strut and soon engine / battery and fuse panel covers
