regardless of what Mazda sells them for, a rebuilt engine by a well know shop will trounce that price pretty good and include hand massaging and clearancing you won't get from the factory

The limited amount of information is making people skeptical. There have been tons of scams on here, any everyone is afraid of getting burned, and most just want to avoid anyone else getting burned too.

Opening up more, being willing to talk about the engines, sharing details, etc... will not harm you unless you are actually trying to scam someone. That is all they are trying to do. I recommend sharing more...

i am not trying to look for an argument. it's right what you are saying, but if the person is affraid, then they should contact teh selle, ask for the number, or pick it up. i saw the item myself when i tuned my turbo rx8 in the shop, so it's better for the buyer to pm the seller immediately or call teh SHOP in PA. the person just has a connection toward getting new engine, taht's all. i hope he can sell the engine, i want the engine, but it's too expensive for to play with because i am planning to build the engine with the shop where he stores the engine.

a photo of the tag on the upper right corner of the motor would answer all questions...

and the paper trail should help all.

There is no limited information. Nothing to hide. Theres an engine for sale. thats it. I dont have to answer why i have 2 engines or where they came from. Bottom line. If your interested in it.. you will have all the information you need when you contact me.

and chrism,
not trying to be obnoxious.. Its my decision to answer what i feel and i dont feel the need to tell you anything. Coming from one who doesn't even own an rx8 anymore, i have a feeling you will not buy an engine, therefore my decision stands
People who want the engine have contacted me. Those who are serious will get any info they need. Just because u didnt get your answer you attack me and say i should think before i type.....then, maybe you should follow your own user conduct and not threaten me with your 'moderator' privilege. Maybe you should think before you respond.

some light reading:

i am not here to buy your engine....i came because a few members reported your thread and thought you to be suspect.....i am a moderator and that is my job.....one individual who has 2 extra engines laying around sounds fishy.....a simple explanation would help your case rather than being stubborn......i am not attacking you....more like defending the community....push me a little harder and I will close the thread.....and take action against you

1. Attacks on moderators will not be tolerated, and may result in an immediate permanent ban. Moderators sometimes have to make difficult judgment calls, but remember we *are* human (well at least most of us are!) Hopefully we'll make decisions that are considered "correct" by the majority of the community. Do not post complaints, criticisms, or moderation questions on the forum. These posts will be deleted and no explanation will be given. If you have a concern about a particular moderator, send a private message to a Super Moderator or Administrator. And if you have constructive suggestions on improvements that can be made to the forum or its moderation, please post them in the Suggestions area.

2. Keep in mind that this is not a democracy. We have the right to refuse service to anyone. If you make yourself too big of a pain in the butt to the moderating community or otherwise are a bad influence on the forum, your access may be revoked.

don't we all love each other here
guys, this person is just trying to sell his engine....let him sell the engine, just for people who suspect him, call him up and meet up with him in KDR, PA...that's the shop that his car is being stored the last time i saw, and for people who are really suspicious, just don't deal over shipping, do local buy. it's that simple guys, there is no need some arguments here.
Chris just tries to do his job, and the SSA just tries to sell his stuff, and i hope both of you have an understanding. please, don't splash me with hot water, let's take this to the positive side.
we are in the forum try to help each other, not to kill. peace guys, i hope you guys get into the good mood,LOL

youre not a random guy with a 2 brand new mazda engines who wont tell anyone where they came from

this guy is charging more for a motor than mazmart, he better have a credible source of where they came from or atleast more than "dont worry , i have them "

read the rules anyway, pretty sure there is something about being disrespectful or not following rules set by a moderator ..

steven

i am in the mood.

the add is it is a new engine from mazda.. so that means it is a new short block from japan!

that is the point.. or it could be, a new reman motor from richmond. not a bad thing.. but 4700 bucks.

really not so much.

post up a vin # or the tag on the motor..

how hard is that?

or just say it was rebuilt buy who..

and yes. two new motors for sale in the same thread.. come on..

beers

There are pictures of one of them sitting in Dave's shop and multiple people that have said they saw is and the car there. Dave is pretty legit since way back when so I'm told by my elders.

i agree with MAC, and i think he is legit and dave i believe, LOL where i tune my car and i saw the engine.
but, still, i guess, the seller just needs to prove to the community that he can defend him self, but that's up to the seller too, i think..i don't know......

looks like I'll be making a trip to KDR to get the inside scoop on these engines....

We got no engines, do we? A couple of Nissan SR20 motors will pull a premium one week before Race Wars, huh?

WHAT ARE THE ODDS OF DAMAGE OCCURING?
i dont know. what ARE the odds. I guess to you mr swoope, damage doesn't happen.
Look, im not entertaining this situation any further. The engines are brand new & legit. if you dont believe me.; oh well. If you need an engine>come see it!
You probably could get a reman @ mazmart for cheaper.. Reman. NOT NEW.
If you find a cheaper motor, then BUY IT.
Say what you want to say about me.. I have the product, if somebody wants it, they will ask me questions and purchase the product. All others can hate on.
Instead of bashing me and saying im sketchy, maybe we can all focus are energy on more important threads. This is a FOR SALE listing. I will not be discussing any further remarks left by others. PM ME is interested. If not, continue on rambling below.

Beers, i guess

you can't post private messages there chief...
I think by now everyone can see that getting details about this engine is like pulling teeth, and serious buyers have been run off. Besides, when people like me can build and warranty an engine with photo documentation of what is inside for less than 1/3 the price, why would you buy one like this that has undetermined origins and has sat for an undetermined amount of time?

I don't know what's going on here, but anytime someone says they can't tell you how they got a hold of hardware they're not selling off on the internet, warning signs should go up.

No disrespect intended towards the OP.
