Anyone who knows more than me about rotors want to comment on this? I need OEM rotors, just not sure what resurfacing means as far as quality/life etc? Any of you near 10,000 post people have any comments for me? feel free to PM if you dont want to thread crap.

Believe me....When I say Resurfacing, meaning taking all the bumps, wraps, and uneven wear on the rotors due to the brake pad pushing against the rotors. They are in great shape. I took these off @ 40k, when I upgrade the rotors. They are smooth, no cracks, no chips in the rotor. Ready to be installed with new brake pads.

But for the techinal stuff, I cut off .004" thousand of an inch on each side total, meaning .001" inch @ 10RPM for 5min. Then .002" inch @ 5RPM for 15 mins. Then .001" for 1RPM for 20mins. Then sanded them for undirectional side.

I take real good care of my mazda, and pride. I am an auto tech, I change everything to mazda's recommanded services.

as long as they are within specs for thickness you are good to go.

make sure they are thick enough.

and to the op. it is a great deal. but you might want to research shipping costs. a set of 4 is heavy.

Hello Silver Mazda09 do you still have the Rotors? and how much did the Drilled/slotted one cost? I am about due for brakes.

Do you know when the next meet is going to be? Dj is interested in going. He will be deployed at the end of the month for at least 6 month so he wants to enjoy his 8 he goes.

Not all rotors are created equal and some drilled / slotted rotors do JUST fine out on the track. Just make sure you're buying quality parts and not some ebay weekend special.

i mean rotors that have had to be turned--cut down--not drilled/slotted necessarily.

I purchased some Aftermarket rotors and brake pads for about $500. Yes, I did sell the OEM rotors already. You should try to make it out to SevenStock. Us valley guys are heading out there Sept. 26th & 27th.

did you resurface them yourself? off the car?
Im having vibration problems. Either they're warped, or its a stacking issue.
