Bump. Even a primer Mazdaspeed bumper sells for over $1000. Repaint this one (or don't) and save a lot of money.

 

How did you crack it?

 

sorry to steal your thread but i have one for sale too, its still on my car, no cracks, just rock chips galore... if anyones interested.. haha, but a good price for your bumper! bumpy bump for you!

 

How much? Pics? What color?

 

I cracked it autocrossing; at first the crack was very minor, but then I hit some cones going pretty fast and it got a lot bigger. That's when I noitced the second crack and decided to take it off the car.

I was thinking about reinforcing the bumper with an aluminum splitter to keep the cracks from getting worse, but I dont' have the time or talent to pull it off.

Dang, I'm sorry to hear that. I have an autoX event this coming weekend. First time with the MS bumper. Thought for sure it could hold up. Guess not.

 

You'll probably be fine. I autox'd at least a dozen times with zero damage. I first noticed the crack after a practice day in the rain; I'm not sure exactly which cone did the damage, but I hit a lot of them that day. Maybe it was the straw that broke the camel's back so to speak.

free bump for you! good deal as well! i track my 8, no damage on the front bumper but i have a friend that messed up his front end after hitting a crap load of cones autocrossing his mazdaspeed 3.

This is a beautiful bumper at 1/3 the price you'll find anywhere else. The cracks are difficult to notice from 10 ft away, and you could easily install this as-is and turn heads on the way to work. A quality body shop could easily repair and repaint this the color of your choice.

 

If you shipped, I wouldn't mind buying it...I've also been eyeing Mazdaspeed RX8 ver2's bumper as well.

 

Sorry, shipping a bumper is not an easy task. I would be willing to drive within 100 miles, but Texas is a bit too far for me.

Actually I am really thinking about getting this one just because its a hella of a lot closer to where i live. I live in the LA county so your closer to me than the other guy.
