Talking SOLD Flat Bronze Volk TE37 19" F8.5 R9.5

For Sale

Volk TE37 Flat Bronze Monoblock Wheels LIMITED EDITION

http://www.mackinindustries.com/md/rays/te37.html

The stock rx8 wheels are front and rear 7" wide. The tire size is 225/45/18

The wheels I am selling are 8.5" wide in the front and 9.5" in the rear.

Stock wheels weigh 22-25lbs.

These wheels weigh 17lbs.

The tires on the wheels I am selling are relatively new and are Nitto 555. The fronts are 245/35/19 and the rears are 275/30/19.

The stock wheel offset is +52

These wheels are +42 offset and do not rub with stock suspension.

The wheels and tires new were around, cough cough, a lot more than what i am asking.

Each rear tire costs around $250 for one and I also have 2 extra rear tires in case of an emergency.

I would guess that the front tires are around $200each new.

The centercaps are bronze and plain unlike the smaller Volks. I had to wait 8 months for them to come in Japan and are valued at $200.

The TPMS do fit and are currently in the Volks. The TPMS typically sell for $250 as a set.

They do have some curbing and have been worn for about 2 years. They are not bent or cracked and the tires will last a long time. They are clean inside and out and still have the manufacture stickers inside the wheels.

I also have a wheel lock set included.

I have tried them on my RX7 and they look pretty silly IMO.

They are easy to clean, will stand the test of time and are not overly stylized. They allow the eye to focus on the lines of the 8 and not pull attention to the wheels alone. They are simply classic, clean and rockingly understated for what they are. I love them and would sleep with them in my bed if I could.

I am asking $2615 which includes the TPMS, the centercaps, the wheel locks, and the two extra rear tires with plenty of tread life.

You will have to pay the shipping, so figure 4 boxes at 21lbs each from zip 33773 and 2 boxes (extra tires) 10lbs each?

This is a personal sale from my RX8 and in not related to Mazsport.

Shaving and rolling is too tedious, most people want direct bolt on with no modifications. I think shaving/rolling fenders are stupid since it's all for aesthetics on our car but that's totally my opinion.

Like I said, all aesthetics. They're light but to go as far as fender rolling then no thank you.

Yes it is a big deal, most people prefer not to do that, such as I. Looks are one thing but performance is another.

No - shaving or rolling prevents rubbing on wheels/tires with low offsets.

The so called "performance" gain is from having wider tires - which means typically heavier wheels etc. Most people do it because it looks cool - some do it for FI-ed vehicles where 225's just don't cut it.

Some do it for both - the arguments have gone on for a long time; generally with more grip on the back vs the front you induce understeer; but even that depends on a lot of variables.

I didnt want to roll the fenders because I used these wheels for autocrossing as well as daily driving....

Anyway, the curbing is minimal and could be considered normal wear for having them for 2 years, hence the low price....

thanks for the update on the stock wheel facts....

these are off the car and ready to ship.
