This was pulled 6 months after buying my '05 RX8 brand new (I swapped it for a 6-disc at the time). So it's pretty much brand new. I no longer have my beloved RX8, so this just collects dust in my closet. Looking to sell it for $50 + actual USPS priorty mail shipping (about $10 according to USPS.com).

I put some recent pics of it below. In the first picture it's a little fuzzy but on the label it says manufacturing date of May 2005. PM if you're interested.

if only i knew the firmware version

Is there a way of telling what the firmware version is on the label? I'm looking at it right now and don't see any (unless you have to have the unit installed to see it?).

i dont think theres a way to find out unless its on the car. I think the 06 had version 9.55, maybe someone else can chime in and verify this.

I did a little research and found this thread:

According to this, it sounds like the firmware version is 9.67 for 2005 models. My 8 was a 2005 model and I didn't do any sort of firmware upgrade to the audio unit. The only thing is that I'm not 100% sure this is the case as I never thought to check out the firmware version before.

I can't remember exactly but I think it was august 2005.
