improper use? Either way it doesn't matter...
These wheels will fit the rx8; good luck to whoever picks up these wheels. A better fitment than most of the cars on here running rpf1's.
Here are my fenders (on stock wheels to show how much extra clearance I have)

yeah, that's what i did. baseball bat and a heat gun. my pass-side turned out fine, but i slightly damaged the driver's side and I'm going to have to go to a body shop soon to get it fixed And I was just gonna say, thanks for the bumps!!! LOL!!
No, I'm just old school. I come from the days when people used to take a bat and place it between the fender and tire, then drive the car forward to roll flair the fender outward. That was fender rolling long before you were probably even born.
Just like people here call loading the suspension pre-loading, some young punk made a lip flattening tool and called it a "fender roller" and all the other young punks now think they know WTF they're talking about. Try to use that lip flattening tool to actually flair out the rear fender on an RX-8 and it won't last long. They're designed to flatten lips, not roll flair fenders.
See the "Flair/Wide Body" section:

Bump for a good guy.
If i didnt order my time attacks, i would pick this up.
Although don you might wanna confirm on the offsets as +38 is not ordinary.
Also looking at your pic, a 285 with a +38 offset should make the rear stick out a bit further out.
I have a 265 in the rear with a +38 wheel and it looks flush like that.

Yeah, seriously. Where were you a month ago? I just bought A DEDICATED CAR FOR AUTOCROSS since I couldn't get wheels/tires for cheap enough. Then an amazing deal like this comes along.. @#)($
I'm like 10 minutes away from you, too. Sorry, I can't buy them right now, though. BTW, we've autocrossed together numerous times. I'm the guy in the white 8 that can't drive to save his life. Wish I was as good as Lawrence is in his white 8...
