PA FS: D-series 20b 3-rotor (unmolested)

I have for sale a 20b 3-rotor engine. Engine code on the irons and housings all match to #D220. This is the last series of 20b's made by mazda with better upgrades then the previous 20b's.

This engine is unmolested and has ~120psi or more on ALL faces using a piston compression tester. I will test it again if a buyer is found and can do it in person if wanted.

This is a long block with everything included. All accesorys, all manifolds, twin turbos and even the original cosmo ECU. Milage is estimated around 40k but not known for sure.

I work as a mechanic and can tell you this engine is sound! I bought it 2 years ago with the intention to use it in my FD3S but I have come to the conclusion that I could use the money toward other important things in my life.

I can drop it off within 100 miles of Philadelphia Pa as well. If buyer is not close I can arange shipping. The motor weighs 560 lbs so shipping is not cheap.

I will answer any further questions you may have in this thread. Please only PM me if you are a serious buyer and willing to buy, thanks. I am in not rush to sell, AT ALL. I am not in a financal situation but would like to use the money from this motor elsewhere.

FYI: If you have dreams of using this for your rx-8 please make sure you have the money to do so. This engine swap requires deep pockets!

Asking 6500obo

I will take better pictures with a proper camera by the end of this week, but for now, these are all I have.

It is possible lol

I wouldn't mind keeping the engine lol but I recently started flying helicopters once a week and if I could sell this motor I can speed up my flight hours by going twice a week. It might be able to save me a years time in training, and at the moment that is worth more then this engine. Like I said, I am in no rush to sell but if the opportunity arrives, I will.

I understand what you are saying but D-series go for alot more then a,b or c's. This also isn't "Tiger Japanese JDM" engines here (if you dont know, do a search). Nor is this Ebay, although you can get lucky as you have. This engine has been shipped within a front clip, no stacking, no damage. I can guarantee perfect compression on all faces and will prove it to potential buyers plus I'll personally deliver it up too 100 miles lol.

Why in the world would you want the tranny?

FYI, please be courteous in my FS thread. If you ARE a buyer and don't like my price send me your best offer. I did list it as OBO.

If you are NOT a buyer please dont crap my thread.

If you think you are "helping people out" by telling people that you know "X" place sells them for this, you are mistaken. I can find alot of other places that sell 20b's for less then my asking price but they most likley wont be a D series nor will they be in running order.

Thanks

hey sweetheart, nobody is trying to crap your thread. And trust me I do know about 3 rotor engines. haven't just bought one or two or three for that matter. Straight from japan, no ebay or none of that. built them, swap them, you name it. Again nobody is trying to talk crap in your thread, I was actually just saying you might need to lower the price if you want to sell it. People are NOT stupid. Good luck baby girl

I must be mistaken, I didn't know you are the only aficionado on 3-rotors.

If this isn't thread crapping IDK what is. But thank you for your .02

Im on this one with Joel!! Even D code engines go for about 4500-5000 as a full long block. And D series engines don't come with better upgrades. Just thicker dowel landings. Just to clarify that. If i was you i would just keep that thing and sell it for way more in a couple of years.

Stronger E-shaft then the non-prefixed engines as well. The side plates have thicker material on the dowel pin area. They hold together better in high HP situations. Thats what I ment by "upgrades". Thanks for the clarification, I wasn't trying to mislead anyone.
