I do not have a camera on me right now, but I will try to borrow a friend's soon and snap some shots.

Try to get a real weight too. I think the 18x9.5 +45 is 17.4lbs, so these should weigh a bit less.

That's incorrect. Enkei's website had a PDF with the entire lineup of sizes. The 18x9.5 with a +45 offset weighs in at 18.6 pounds. I recalled incorrectly on my set as well though. They weigh in at 17.8 pounds and not 17.9 pounds. I just checked the chart again to make sure. I was also incorrect about the offset. It is actually a +35. I was lazy when posting it and didn't even go to the garage to look at them. My bad

That's from a very reputable vendor on this site. You might be surprised if you actually weigh them.

Oh, is that right? I might have to actually weigh them on a scale. Interesting

ekim1 10-06-2009 01:32 AM

Bump it up! I just weighed the wheels and they weigh 17.4 pounds each! Really damn light for 18x8s! and they aren't even forged.

For those that need proof if I have the wheels or not please e-mail me at mreugenekim@gmail.com and I will send you a link to a video of me showing you the wheels! I don't have a camera, BUT I have the new iPod Nano so I used that to record it.

Cheers,

-Eugene

Good lookin out. I don't know any good Evo or STi/WRX forums so I didn't bother yet. I also figured S2K guys won't want these because they like staggered fitments.

ZumnRx8 10-08-2009 12:31 AM

good EVO/STI/S2k forums.. GOOGLE is your friend.... and I seen a lot of S2k's run x8 all around... give it a try.. especially since u have new RPF1's... S2ki.com (s2kforum)..evolutionm.net (evo forum)....IWSTi.com and clubwrx.com (sti forum)... GOOD LUCK

you might also wanna chekc out MOCC.com Mazda owners club of california.... MAZDASPEED 3's and 5's share the same bolt pattern as us....not sure about 6's but hey man u gotta network to get shit out.

Thanks. That's not a big deal. These wheels have been tested at 360 degree perfect, and gone through thorough inspection. Without a doubt it should fit snug and not give you issues.

Just make sure to torque the wheels while the car is off the ground so the wheels don't slip from the vehicle's weight pushing it down.

ekim1 10-16-2009 02:47 PM

Let's do this!

maxuz 10-17-2009 12:07 AM

wait, i the thread you were saying six bills? are you serious? if so, i might have to just sell a kidney for these.

Yea like he said, that isn't a big deal. As long as the wheel doesn't have a hub smaller than the car, all is well. If someone is super worried about it, you can get hubcentric rings that make up the difference lol. My Enkei don't have them on and I haven't noticed weird vibrations or anything like that.

Someone was messing around. It's still at $1000 picked up or $1100 shipped (It can be cheaper if you live closer as well, but $1100 shipped is to the east coast)

real racers dont use hubcentric rings.

less rotating mass.

mtellam 10-20-2009 04:32 PM

I'd totally buy these if they weren't +35 -_-

for racing, it's b/c that's just one more thing to get in the way of a quick tire change. makes the wheels harder to get off and put on.

for street and internet racing, there might be another reason, but the effect of a 2 oz. plastic ring placed at the center of rotation is undetectable.

anyway, bump for the OP...those wheels seem to look good on every car. if i was in the market for STX wheels, i'd be on 'em.

kersh4w 10-26-2009 02:50 PM

wow. way to let that sarcasm do a fly by right over your head.
