Amen brother, I've been there plenty of times. I've also killed my budget and struggled just to get some crazy deal on a car part before LOL

it will sell for the $220 shipped and for colorcode asking about how long - it's not really a wear item so it shouldn't matter how long he has had it in there.

Only thing I would look for if I was buying one is the color/material of the cup on the bottom. I know they have been updated a few times.

Just out of curiosity, why are you selling it? Did you not like it?

Does it matter? Why do people get all nosey in for sale posts, especially when they aren't going to buy?

Manners folks, manners.

I need the money, ok? I'm broke. There, now everyone knows. Happy?

Now everyone can lowball me.

Alright, the hostile post was unnecessary. I was not trying to be nosey. I was asking for two reasons, first of all I'm sure anyone interested in buying would want to know just in case it was because you didn't like it, or there was something slightly wrong with it, all things which might affect their decision of whether or not to buy. Secondly, when i buy my Rx8 this is one of the things i want to buy, so if its still for sale at that time i might be interested.

So chill man, i had good intentions. I'm sorry youre having financial issues...it happens to everyone at some point.

Peace.

It is a wear item and I'd buy a new one before paying $220 shipped for a used one. IMO $200 shipped is high relative to a new one even considering what most used parts sell here for ....

why are crapping on this mans thread team?
If you are not interested in the item who asked you?
A part is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it---you should know that.
Guys this is my old shifter that i ran only for a little while--few thousand miles. I didnt run it long because my trans bearing went bad and the ss amplified bad sounds. It has the upgraded ball on it.
I traded this part to the op in buying his 09 trans.
He is a single dad trying to raise 2 young children the right way--he is having some money probs like a lot of people now but i am sure he will recover. He is a hard worker. Does good work.

So bump for this sale.

a) he crapped in his own thread before I ever came along
b) he states that it's not a wear item when, like any mechanical part that sees constant use, it is.
c) I see people going gaga over these for $200 used all the time and don't understand why
d) apparently you don't think thread crapping is such a bad thing after all.

figure a new one is 270.00 plus 12 bux shipped and a lil tax that is close to 300.00 figure just bout 70.00 saved is pretty cool for something that cant really wear down is a good deal.

(btw) put it in and feels great sept i havent been able to drive the 8 for a bit since mn has alot of snow, so its chillin in the garage and im suiting her up for summer time!

A)I think it was just the way he came across on the Internets, I wouldn't want to tell a public forum I'm broke and sometimes words/feelings don't translate well to text.

B)Anyhow, if it is the lastest version then the damn thing is nearly indestructible. I've been through nearly all versions but the very first one. Those other version could've been considered a wear item but the last version is bullet proof.

If it isn't the first version you can get the little bulletproof cup from AFE- Richard Paul. Easy to swap out or send the shifter to him and he can do it for you

C)It changed the entire way the car felt in my hand like it was a solid connection to the car, a very precise feel unlike the sloppy stock shifter. I wouldn't buy the 09 because Richard Paul said he wasn't going to make one so I bought another 06 Shinka just so that I could drop the AFE SS in it. It's that good. I wish I bought it for $200. I paid nearly $300 new w/ shipping.

D) OP GL with the sale and everything else this is a damn good item at a very fair price.
