Does this adapter display the text from playlist on the radio screen?

Flawless

No it does not. However, you can control the song being played by using the steering wheel controls. What I used to do is set the iPod volume 100% and then turn down the volume on the headunit that way I could adjust it using the steering wheel. Let me know if there's any more questions.
