I have the stock six speed tranny out of my 04' GT RX-8.

It works and drives, BUT 1st and 2nd gear synchros are giving out and 5th gear is gone (as if it just disappeared!). I have been driving it like this for about 3 months now and it has not worsened. I've even driven to Fla. and back to Atlanta in the past 2 weeks... still no issues.

I am selling it basically as a parts tranny, or for someone who is stranded/broke down and needs to get a working tranny in their car.


I'll take a FIRM $120 for it. shipping should be about $80 max, depending how far from ATL you are.

3rd 4th and 6th have no issues whatsoever. You can't shift first to second easy at high RPM and you can't downshift into second or first unless you rev-match and pause. Still a very driveable transmission still.

I understand your own logic, but for some people this would be totally worth it. I shipped an S2000 transmission for less than $85 using my FedEx account.
