FEELER: Trade my engine bay for yours + $$$$
This is now officially for sale! I want to see if there is anyone that would be interested in doing this. So here's the deal, I had all my engine bay covers painted purple including the intake manifold so the trade would have to be for EVERY cover including the manifold ( fuse cover, intake box, battery cover, ecu cover, engine cover, washer bottle, intake manifold). Since the manifold is from a 6mt i will need to trade with another 6mt (sorry AT guys). The battery cover is kind of broken but can probably be fixed with dowels and epoxy. Also remember this is a custom job between me and and body shop so not everything is perfect. If this gets to the point where someone will do the trade I will take pictures of everything. And of course local is preferred (NY, NJ). I figure $600 + your covers is fair. Also included in the deal is the mazdaspeed strut bar and hks grounding kit. This cost me well over $1000 to do this setup. Let me know if there are any questions

yeah I dont know about this,,, I mean its purple,,, It wont match any other color than BB or WWP and if someone even wants a purple engine bay,,,
Like someone said the paint couldn t have cost that much, you cant charge people for custom labor, I just think its ballzy to ask for $500+all thier parts, maybe $500 flat, then you go out and buy the OEM stuff you need...

no secret projects. and the paint and prep is expensive because its a 3 stage paint and has flake in it. yes i know its purple but maybe there is some that will like it. and i guess no one can read because i clearly stated that this may not be the final price its just a feeler thread. if you dont like the price its simple dont buy it

we know, dont get upset over an opinion... just letting you know what we are thinking in the long run it will help you gauge the interest....
It does look good for show, but your not offering anything that we dont already have other than paint, thats all, your gonna have to find someone who really likes it as much as you do, and that might be slim pickins,, but good luck though

believe me i know its a lot to ask for but like you said someone needs to really like it. i also wouldnt mind doing a package thing for the bay, strut bar, and grounding kit.

the cost is more than justified if you know the quality of the paint and work.....to reiterate THIS IS NOT A DIY JOB....it is a custom job done by the famous kenny from Eastside...it is artwork under the hood...it is not ballsy to ask what he is asking because he paid allot more than that to get it done....free bump for cliff and his parts....they are chrism approved!

Look I know all you Jersey guys worship Kenny, and a good painter is worth thier weight in gold but its gonna be hard to justify purple engine parts, regardless of the qualilty of the craftsmanship, now Cliffs new feeler deal including the MS bar and grounds will definately spice up the deal, I would include then in the official sale....

has nothing to do with worship....just clarification....people are all on cliff because of his pricing and they are pretty clueless apparently on how much this really costs to get done.....lots of peeps think they can get this quality with a rattle can but they wont........

Chris, again it has nothing to do with the qaulity stop talking to us like Kenny is the only painter out there. Its the color, theres not going to be as much interest because of it. If it were red like your old covers there would probably be more interest and the competitive demand would fetch the price Cliff sought lik it did in you epic sale thread.
Its the same as a set of rims that are super expensive but your the only one that likes it, your not going to be able to sell it at the price you originally paid for the rim(or in any rims case for that matter).
No one here is doubting the quality and proffessional treatment of the work its just too foriegn for the general mass' interest
Ive always respected uniqueness and style, your car was no exception. Even though its final scheme had a mustache on it, it was still something no one else had, but you jersey and new york folks got into a trend of painting your cars for show and you cant expect people to want to pay for your uniqueness thats all, Cliffs car is great looking and the engine bay is eye popping but in the past several days not a single person has shown interest and its not because its a shitty paint job...
this will be my last post in here I said my opinion. and all three of us are not going to change our stances.
All in all,,, looks really good Cliff, a very rare cup of tea indeed, good luck with the sale...

Honestly man, I love the color and the setup. Thing is, I run without my cover and all that and I'm trying to get more and more performance, not really coloring stuff. :/ Otherwise, honestly, I'd be all over this. Looks hot man, good luck.
