FEELER: Mazdaspeed (MS) dual muffler catback exhaust
Sold
Price: I'm looking for $350 + 3.5% paypal fee + shipping
I've owned this exhaust for roughly 15 months. It weighs around 31-32lbs and is roughly 7lbs lighter than the stock RX-8 catback.
A pic of what the catback looks like is shown below (note: not a pic of my actual MS exhaust)
Condition **Full Disclosure**: There are no dents in the piping or exhaust mufflers and the catback is in sound working condition. The tips have some stains which might be removable with a good stainless steel polish.
The welds on the sides of the dual mufflers are known to fail on these exhausts. The inside welds on my catback failed last Spring and I had them professionally re-welded (9 months have passed with no leaks). In the last month, I've started to see some black soot (hear no leaks yet) in a few places along the outside welds. It might be possible to seal with JB Weld, if not an exhaust shop can touch up these welds for you.
This is just a feeler thread, and I will add actual pics of the exhaust later this evening. Most used MS dual exhausts sell for between $350-$400. Mine is priced at $300 due to the condition listed above. This exhaust will be available for sale in ~2-3 weeks depending on interest.
P.S. Please respond in this thread or shoot me a pm if you have strong interest.

Mazdadude8 now has first dibs. The MS exhaust is yours. I've decided to definitely replace my catback and it should be ready to go in ~2 weeks. I'll shoot you a pm.
P.S. If anyone would like 2nd dibs behind mazdadude8 please post in this thread.

Sorry, I haven't forgotten, just got a little busy this weekend.
My new exhaust is on the car and I wiped off and packed up the mazdaspeed dual muffler catback earlier this afternoon. I snapped a pic of it before putting her away in the box for shipping:
I didn't have time today to get the box dimensions & weight, so I'll try to get that done tomorrow.

Nope. Mazdadude8's internet is down and I've been waiting to hear from him for several days now. I've had the catback packed up and ready to ship for over 1 week. Winning 8 and rotarykillz are next in line though. I'm in no urgent need to sell so I'll give Mazdadude8 until the end of the weekend to get in touch with me...

Well, I'm weighing my options and it's hard to make a decision as I don't want to screw over mazdadude8. I'll send him a pm now. If I don't hear anything back in the next 24hrs, I'll be forced to move on...

Okay, I haven't heard back from mazdadude8 and it's been more than 24 hours, so the exhaust is up for sale again.
FWIW, I'm not doing the dibs thing anymore. I've gotten offers for more than my current asking price so what I'm going to do is as follows... The first person who offers me $350 + 3.5% paypal fee + shipping gets it. Must have the money to pay right away as I'd like to complete this transaction this week.
