Yes. I think a datalogger for $80 is worth it - that is how I used it and learned a lot. For example, would you guess the engine was getting too hot on a 5 degree day? I was in rush hour traffic at 10 mph. My gauge stupidly didn't say anything, but the cobb showed the water temp going up to 208 degrees, then the fan would come on, cool it off. Then the water would go back up to 2008. I decided to buy the Mazsport mod to turn the fan on earlier which stopped that. (Later I got the RB software, which did same thru the ECU.)
I have diagnosed CELs without going to Autozone or whereever; including seeing a Cat Inefficiency code before it threw a CEL.
