Hey does anyone out there have a Cat for an 04 RX8 for sale, I'm looking for one with low miles because mine has self destructed its a California car and the smog check is due for the first time in a couple of months. I'm looking for the whole pipe for easy install. If ayone out there can help please get back to me.

The cat is warrantied for 8 years iirc.

 

I took my car to dealer to get the CEL for the cat cleared and they say it's not under warranty from Mazda. It only covers the engine (core). Where did you see the cat being under warrantied for 8 years. I would love to have the proof and shove it right at the dealer's face and have them replace my cat.

that's only if i remember correctly...

 

Federal law. Makers have to cover certain emissions systems components for 8 years or 80k miles. If you fail emissions because of a covered component, Mazda has to fix it. The catalytic is covered.
