how well would this work before the cat. i know this will throw a code but would it affect the eng that much or would i just see more gains then the set up after the cat

there a guy here who does have it before the cat, and it DOES NOT throw a code for him.
even if it does throw a code, it doesn't affect the performance of the engine.
you should see more gains with it before cat.

there actually are several people running cutouts, but not necessarily the BHE one. They all work the same anyways...
