Smile APR Performance GT-200 adjustable rear carbon fiber racing wing

Category: Exterior - Body Parts
Price: $500
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): Series I, Series II
Location (US State/Canada/Int): TX
Item Condition: Used

Slightly used APR wing in practically new condition. Includes all original equipment with the gurney flap and smooth aero fastener options. Still have the original box and packaging.

Was used on my competition-only RX8 for just several months when the class rules were changed to eliminate aero body work. Was always stored indoors or in an enclosed trailer. Mounts to the rear trunk using the same mounting holes as the factory appearance package wing. I have the factory paper patterns for laying out and drilling the holes if your trunk never had a wing.

At the maximum recommended angle it starts to come in around 50 mph so its not just a super high speed piece. I really hate to sell it but its just sitting around collecting dust. It was one one of my favorite mods.

Shipping to 48823? If that's reasonable, I'll take it.

No particular hurry. Might be a little cheaper sent to our receiving department at 48824 come to think of it though.

Nice to see a spoiler that's been designed and modelled vs built only to look cool.

Maybe. Can't be sure since I never had one. I had it mounted on the Appearance Package air dam front. The person I bought it from may have had the MS front. I will check and see, but you may have to final fit it yourself. I actually extended it out on mine further than it had been originally mounted by drilling new holes. I don't know how the AP air dam and MS bumper compare to each other as far as where the the lower front lip edge is located.

The original owner had it mounted on an AP air dam front too, just not as far out as I repositioned it.

Worst case you will need to drill your own holes and maybe fill any that are exposed (if any) with black RTV silicone to minimize their appearance.

The stock undertray is 65.5 cm long, measured front to back in the center. The AP undertray is 1 cm shorter to make room, I think, for the skid strip that's on the AP and not on the stock bumper. This means the mounting points on the two bumpers are somewhat different. No idea on how the MS bumper compares.

I was going to make my own front lip, but I do have an AP bumper ... 2fer?

The APR splitter may still be available. Will advise this weekend.

BTW, I picked up the splitter too. It's not "pretty", but extremely rugged.

Oh true. What I meant was compared to much of the fancy shapes, swirls, vents, vortex generators, and canards seen in CF from JDM suppliers, this splitter is very simple. Certainly much more rugged too, and likely no less effective.

The USA can still make cool stuff.
