greyhound insures and is trackable. They are the cheapest method for bumpers by far. Ive sent probably 10 bumpers through them. You dont have to have a box but they will not insure it without one. So best bet is throw them both in one giant box, because they dont really care about size, and youre out for under 100 bucks.

i'm about to use them to ship out my mazdaspeed bumper. quoted from CA to TX about $78. good deal through them. i haven't heard bad things about them. Of coarse though, its up to the buyer, because usually buyer will have to pay shipping

My brother used them a while ago to ship some furniture. A dresser, a night stand and a bed frame. No problem he talked very highly of them especially for the price.

I had some bumpers shipped to me through Greyhound across the states and they made the journey in four days or so wrapped in bubble tape and undamaged for around $60 4 years ago.

Heres pretty much everything you need to know about them.

Where do I go to ship my package?
Major metropolitan locations will provide a separate storefront for processing Greyhound PackageXpress (GPX). If the GPX storefront is closed you may bring your package to the Greyhound ticket counter and a customer service representative will process your shipment. (Tip: Proceed to the "will call" section of the ticket counter, if available, to save time.)

What are your hours of operation?
GPX shipping centers and Greyhound terminal hours vary by location with many locations offering service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

How do I open a GPX commercial charge account?
Fill out and submit the online account application form or call 1-800-739-5020.

Can individuals obtain commercial charge account privileges?
GPX does not currently grant charge account privileges to individuals. We will, however, consider applications from individuals with home-based businesses on a case by case basis.

Can the recipient pay for the shipping charges at the other end?
Individuals are prohibited from shipping person to person "freight collect" at this time. Businesses and commercial charge account holders may ship freight collect.

How can I reach customer service?
By e-mailing GPX_Support@greyhound.com or by calling a GPX customer service representative at 1-800-739-5020.

What do I do if I forgot my user ID and/or password?
Call 1-800-739-5020 for assistance.

Delivery

Where do you deliver?
We currently deliver throughout the United States. For shipments within Canada, Greyhound Courier Express (GCX) can be reached by calling 1-877-GO-DOG-GO (1-877-463-6446) or online at www.shipgreyhound.ca. GPX does not currently offer cross-border services into Mexico or Canada.

How long will it take for the package to arrive?
Arrival times are dependent on the shipment's service level. Visit the products and services page for more details.

Will the recipient be notified upon arrival of the package?
Yes, the recipient's phone number you provide at the time of shipping will be utilized to notify the recipient. If no phone number is provided, a postcard will be sent notifying the recipient of the shipment's availability.

Does GPX deliver to homes and apartments?
No, GPX does not currently offer residential delivery in most markets.

How can I be assured my package is delivered?
Package delivery confirmations can be obtained by calling 1-800-739-5020 or by using our tracking system on the website. (Please note, online tracking is currently available to orders placed online exclusively.)

What happens if no one is there to receive the delivery?
GPX will hold the package and make the package available for pick up at a designated Greyhound facility unless authorized to leave the package without signature. Unsuccessful deliveries will incur a re-delivery charge if requested.

How do I change my delivery order?
If you need to change anything related to your order call 1-800-739-5020

Services

Can I insure my package?
GPX offers shippers the ability to purchase additional "declared" value for shipments exceeding the standard $100.00 value declaration. GPX does not offer "insurance" for packages. See Terms and Conditions for declared value costs and limitations.

How do I track my package?
By using our tracking system at ShipGreyhound.com or by calling 1-800-739-5020 (Please note, online tracking is currently available to orders placed online exclusively.)

Packages / Packaging

What are your package weight and size restrictions?
The maximum weight per package is 100 pounds. The extreme measurements of length, width, and height shall not exceed 30" x 47" x 82".

What are your packaging requirements?
All shipments must be packed in containers made of durable material and of quality sufficient to withstand handling on buses. All packages containing FRAGILE or PERISHABLE articles must be marked in large letters, preferably with appropriate labels. See Terms and Conditions for complete packaging requirements.

Should I leave my package open for inspection?
If appropriate, leave open for inspection. Greyhound reserves the right to open and inspect shipments when deemed necessary, and to refuse those improperly or inadequately packed, those damaged, and those containing articles prohibited for shipment. Tape will be made available to finish your packaging.

Do I have to have the item boxed or crated?
No, but the item must be prepared with appropriate packaging materials in order to protect the item being shipped as well as other items traveling in bus cargo.

Does GPX offer packing supplies and services?
GPX offers packing materials for sale at many locations throughout the US. Packing services are not yet available.

Other

What's the cost per pound?
GPX rates vary by weight, distance and service level. Please obtain rate information online or by calling 1-800-739-5020.

Do you ship animals?
No. GPX does not currently provide pet transport services.

I guess they must only be cheaper for oversize items. I got a quote for wheels and they are as expensive as UPS. DHL is the cheapest way to ship rims.

A friend of mine had a windshield shipped from Chicago to St. Louis. It arrived completely smashed. It was packed in a sturdy box and marked "Fragile", but they must have laid it flat and piled crap on top of it. So pack breakable items really well and mark them clearly if they should be shipped upright or are crushable.

Most windshield places don't have and can't get for any price an NOS windshield for a 1967 Buick GS California. You made an assumption.
