I have one that I took off my 04 RX8. I had to put a cat on when I bought it to pass emissions but the car was totalled after some guy ran into it so I never had a chance to put this back on.


It is a custom job, the previous owner apparently paid a good deal to have an exhaust shop fab it up for him right after he bought the car new since there wasn't alot of options for aftermarket midpipes when the rx8 first came out.



It's composed of two pieces; the one on the right slides into the one of the left and then the U shaped piece, barely visible on the very left, holds them together. I believe it was made that way so the exhaust shop guys could adjust the length of it to get it to fit.

I guess I'll make a thread for it and another part I have, $75 shipped would be cool with me...

I have a sr motorsports high flow cat but it is gutted since the beehive filament inside the cat converter came loose and was rattling so its pretty much a straight through pipe that was the sr motorsports now. I can send pics if interested

 

I just bought Arun's Exotic speed single res. I dont really like the way it sounds on a stock exhaust so I'll sell it to you for what I bought it for $190 (that'll cover shipping and paypal fees, I paid 175 for the actual pipe.) If you want pics let me know.

From what I understand the TurboXS midpipe only fits to the TurboXS exhaust, and no other. I might be wrong on this, but I'm pretty sure...

Just throwing it out there. Someone that knows this exhaust/midpipe better could confirm.

grog is right the turboxs mid pipe does not work with anything else but the turboxs cat back. Just the way they designed it. Thats why they give you a mid pipe for free.

 

That is some bullshit! I like the turbo xs but I would not want their midpipe. Guess I'll be welding....

 

If your still looking for a mid pipe by next month, i will sell you my OBX. I bought it because its cheap and I needed a straight pipe for some testing. Its brand new and I will probably only have less than 200 miles on it.

 

You guys are right the turbo xs midpipe is only for the whole turbo xs exhaust. Thats why the midpipe is usually cheaper than most other midpipes.
