can anyone confirm that these shocks will be much better than oem shocks on non shinka's or r3's? i have a set of lowering springs id like to get on but am waiting for a good set of shocks..will these bilsteins hold them a lot better than my stocks? if so extremely interested with money in hand

They are off the shelf Bilstein HD's. Yes they are better than stock Tockico's but not something you will notice greatly unless you track a lot. IIRC, the Bilsteins can be re-valved and typically Bilstein uses the same hardware on the street shocks that they use on their higher end shocks.
ok, my main concern is that my stock shocks won't handle the lowering springs to well and will blow out a lot sooner than later if I put the two together. That's why I was hoping these would be able to handle them much better.
Ive had mine on tein s techs for 30k before I got newish oem shocks. Mine were not blown. FYI Oem gas shocks dont blow as easily as liquid filled ones.
Gas filled
They will lower the same amount as regular shocks.
they will both handle it the same. Stock shocks are gas filled tokikos. Actually now that I think about it all bilstiens are liquid filled. However Bilstiens are high quality and valved for maximum performance. Also they are rebuild able and may be able to be custom valved.

They are actually oil filled with gas in a portion of the shock body Shady, all mono-tube shocks just use gas to pressurize the oil. The Bilsteins are just better because they can be serviced and re-valved.
