Really? I just searched Car-Part.com (nationwide junkyard directory) and there were none. Then I called Mazmart, and they have never sold a used 2009 6-speed.

Brand new these sell for over $2000. I bought mine in early summer for $1800.

Heck, I saw 3 2004-2008 6-speeds on ebay between $900-$1450. Check them out.

Are you sure that the ones you were seeing were 2009 6-speeds???

ive sold about five 04-08 trans for no more than 800 , and seen about three or four 09' trans sell for no more than 1200 practically new. your trans is "used in great condition" so expect to get half of what you paid for your already used item, whats that come out to?

this implies that you value the transmission a difference of 450 dollars ya? you paid 1800 for a transmission and are taking 200 off after using it? im not telling you what to price it at or saying that you should offer it for 600 dollars, just saying that i would guess a fair bargain to be like 1200 or 500 and a trade trans. And shipping is no more difficult than finding a pallet, chop it in half, get some cheap ratchet straps and send it through fedex ground for 75 bucks anywhere in the US. ive done it plenty

Honestly, I don't know why you are posting all of this in my thread. You basically told everyone I should sell my tranny for half of what I paid a few months ago. That is a very rude thing to do.

Are you even interested in my transmission?

I find that just a little hard to believe being that I signed-up on here in 2003 after I purchased my first RX-8.

Hey dude did you notice my post?
If the deal is made how do we swap them out?
The only 09 trans i have seen sell on e bay was from Mr MAZDA it did sell in 2 days for $1200--true fact. I cant give 1150 and my trans. But I would like to talk if there is some room on the price. I also have like a axil flow short shifter i could throw in etc?

there's no shortage of cheap b@st@rds here who expect everything for nothing, welcome to RX8Club

that said, you likely won't find any takers for this deal here ....

this forum is extremely light on being moderated, complaining or fighting back will only get you a result ranging from nada to completely counterproductive

but good luck with your sale

Since he's the only person in the US currently selling a 2009 gearbox I think he can ask whatever he wants. It's not like he's asking $2500 or something. More importantly, why do people need to shoot someone down immediately. It sets the tone for the whole thread with other people piling on. It really is rude.

noone is shooting anyone down here..

something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it (someones famous quote) and that being said, i was just letting him know ahead of time what most people are willing to pay for it to save him some time and frustration

Who made you the police of the used parts section? Are YOU going to buy his trans? Just as he said, a PM would have been appropriate. You don't know what financial situation he could be in nor what 'Someone' may be willing to pay. If you cared about "saving" the OP anything you could have told him privately.

i didnt realize it at 1st but I KNOW this person. We havent hung a lot but we have spoken on several occasions. He is a nice guy that works hard for a living.
Now I am not saying that anyone suggested he wasnt---not at all. Didnt see anything in anyones posts that suggested that. Its just letting all know that I think he is straight up.
Pricing market on items are always in a flux---its America!!
By the way ---him and I have made an acceptable deal.
Afterward I think I will be the 1st FI car to have a 09 gearbox?
I am looking forward to the slightly changed gear ratios.

Anyone notice those sweet Bride seats in his car?

Hey Denny. So I guess we are on for Tuesday. Looking forward to seeing you again.

Denny has pretty much locked-in the deal... so sale is pending folks. I can't wait to go for a ride in his car with this tranny in it.
