2008 40th Anniversary Part Out

4 Attachment(s)
I have several parts removed from my 2008 40th Anniversary car at 62k miles. I bought the car not running, and pulled the entire drivetrain to do an engine swap. I do not know the exact condition of the engine other than I was told it had low compression and would not start. When I removed the catalytic converter it was completely clogged. Would prefer local pickup on the big stuff.

7/21/20 Update: Car is being parted out. Anything is have. Just let me know what you need.

6-Port Engine (without accessories/intake) - $500
6sp Auto Transmission - $300
Differential - $150
40th Anniv Bilstein Shocks/Springs - $250
Full 40th Anniv Interior including Door Panels - $600
Heated Side View Mirrors - $80
40th Anniv Fender Emblems - $140
Factory Tire Repair Kit - $45
Random drivetrain/engine pieces - Let me know what you may need

Yes, but I am not parting out the car. I'm selling pretty much just drivetrain components since I have engine swapped the car.

Car is now being parted out. So anything on it is game. Will list additional pics of parts.

40th8Jake 07-21-2020 11:49 AM

I知 still interested in the emblem for the passenger side, but if I have to buy both it痴 not problem. Also do you know the condition of the transmission at all? I know you want local pickup, but if you don稚 get rid of it I値l pay for freight

I would like to sell them together. I can get pictures of them up later today. I haven't shipped anything freight, but I can look into it. As far as I know the transmission is good to go. The car had 62k miles on it when the catalytic converter clogged and engine lost compression. Previous owner sold it non running, so I haven't personally used the transmission.

just needs to be strapped to a pallet (can get them used at Home Depot etc. usually for free but some may charge a fee), best to drain the oil and wrap it up in shrink wrap

check for pricing on Uship.com, they値l help with the paperwork etc.

TeamRX8 07-22-2020 03:45 PM

Track Car Obsession 08-04-2020 02:57 PM

Bump. Basically a full part out if anyone needs something. Just ask if it isn't listed

How much for the steering wheel?

Wrightbenz 08-24-2020 10:11 AM

This was a 6 port with an automatic trans ? I thought the autos were all 4 ports ?

40th8Jake 08-24-2020 10:28 AM

Well I知 actually interested in the faceplate for the radio/climate control as mine is cracked at one of the screws so it does what it wants sometimes. Is yours in good shape?

not so much the other things anymore since I知 doing REW swap, getting a 5 speed trans. Just need functionality..

I did not that. Good info to have in my pocket for future finds. Always good to no all the differences in these cars.

so you assume the engine is in need of a rebuild ?

I believe so. I haven't opened it up, because I bought the car and swapped in a LFX engine, so there wasn't really a need to. Guy I bought it from couldn't get it to start. Said he took it to the dealer and they told him he didn't have compression. He didn't have the money for any type of repair, and his apartment complex wouldn't allow him to have a non-running car sitting there, so it had to go. When pulling everything out of the car, I noticed the cat was completely collapsed and clogging the entire pipe. My thinking is that his ignition system got weak over time (which is normal), and he didn't replace plugs or coils, and the high amount of unburned fuel destroyed the cat, which in short time caused way too much heat on the exhaust side and caused apex seal failure. I'm not a rotary pro, but I'm guessing it could possibly not start if there was nowhere for the exhaust to go, but I don't want to sell the engine to someone with the promise that it is a running example. If it doesn't sell I may tear apart for 'science' :yelrotflm

I will check the battery/starter harness. The battery terminal may have been corroded to the point where I just cut it off. Did you need the rear differential/axles/hubs etc with the subrframe? Do you want just the fuse BOX top and bottom, or were you wanting the whole box, with fuses, and wiring harness? Trunk weatherstripping has tears, and I unfortunately tossed the stock cat-back a few months ago after having it listed for over a year.

my apologies between being a newbie to forums and working from my tablet ( it seems to give me limitations), my last reply was meant towards the response 40th8Jake had given. I did send him a PM.

Since it's an automatic, I can't use the differential unless it came with the same diff as the 6-speed manual. The fuse box, I really only need the bottom half without the fuses and wiring.

I believe the differential is different. No LSD from what I understand. So you need the entire rear minus differential? You need axles too or no? I will be able to check starter harness tonight. Bottom half of fuse box $35?

Yes, everything attached to the rear subframe minus struts, springs, diff and axles. Yes on the fuse box also.

Do you still have the fender emblems and were the floor mats in the car still?

e-dub 11-02-2020 03:07 AM

If the 40th anny floor mats are good I'll take them please! Just bought a 40th myself.

peterpangea 12-22-2020 03:16 PM

Still have the passenger side airbag cover and ebrake handle? I'd be interested in them if they are in good condition! How much would parts + shipping be to 27514?

Jturbo 01-03-2022 12:46 AM

do you have the floor matts? or anything else?

hermanator3 01-04-2022 11:49 AM

interested in the flat repair kit - and the mount for the gas strut (and the strut itself) for the soft-open on the glove box, I can DM you a picture if you need

TeamRX8 01-04-2022 12:27 PM

I’m sensing a lack of discernment here … :suspect:
