i hope that if you are buying a lost compression engine, you are rebuilding it before putting it in your car ... and cleaning it during rebuild ....

I'd go $275 on it as a gamble, because that's literally what it is. It's a big gamble, because you say it was burning coolant, meaning coolant was getting into the combustion chambers. When you let an rx8 engine sit with coolant in the chambers for any more than a couple of weeks, the soft irons tend to start pitting and corroding. It will also rust the seals in the rotors and render the rotors bad because you can't get the old seals out. There is no telling what is good or bad inside that motor because I assume it's sat longer than 2 or 3 weeks.

I can also set up my own shipping which is a plus for you. All you'd be required to do is 1) get a pallet, put the engine on it and secure it, 2) print out the shipping document I would send you, and 3) have it picked up from a business location or drop off at the nearest dock in a major city.

I would not want to have it picked up at a residence because this would add great expense to the shipping cost (from $200 or so to $320 or so) so point 3) is a major one.

Your conclusion is greatly appreciated!
But you could have just asked for a price reduction instead of writing a paper telling us why you think it is worth 275.00
Like I told you this is the third week the motor has been out of the car.

Next!

Well, I had already skimmed the thread and saw that you were having an attitude with potential buyers that made offers which you felt were not justified. So, I didn't want to throw out an offer without justification, in order to avoid being the recipient of your shitty attitude.

Instead, I find I have been granted that privilege anyway.

You have also failed to justify a higher asking price with any facts of your own re: the engine or it's internal condition.

Ive read the entire thread TWICE and I cannot find ANY mention as to how long the engine has been out of the car, or how long since it last ran, despite your statement "Like I told you this is the third week the motor has been out of the car.". You might want to get your **** straight before you go flying off at the mouth toward potential buyers.

IF you want to stop being a dick about it, then maybe you and I can make a deal. If you'd rather continue with your current approach, you're likely to continue to gain the same results, with everyone calling you out and you still having a junk engine sitting in your garage taking up space instead of cash in your pocket. I could give a rat's *** either way whether I buy the engine from you or not, but I'll tell you one thing, I'm not going to take any **** from you to do it. IF you decide you'd like to check your attitude and get paid, then get back to me. If not, you know where you can put that engine for long term storage.

I wouldn't argue with RR about engine conditions...I think he's probably rebuilt enough of them to know about possible issues and value.

Lol,
ITs a junk engine! Its a Junk ENgine. I dont give a rats *** if it sales or not. ITs a junk engine and it can go to the JUNK Yard.....
I dont have a shitty attitude. Call me I provided my number . I can assure I dont have an attitude.
I made a mistake and assumed you where the guy texting all the exact same questions you asked and then offered me a price 25.00 lower here on the site than what he offered me in a text.

CALLL ME IF THIS THREAD IS NOT WORKING OUT FOR YOU GUYS. I PROVIDED MY NUMBER.
I DONT HAVE TO SELL THE MOTOR I CANT EXPRESS THAT ENOUGH , I HAVE PLENTY OF ROOM IN THE GARAGE, BUT WHY HAVE IT SITTING THERE WHEN SOMEONE MAY COULD USE IT FOR SOMTHING ELSE PARTS OR ETC.

I dont normally deal with these cars, I just did a engine swap for someone and they did not want or have a need for the engine so they let me keep it.

I am more into ls1 and windsor engine cars so i dont deal with rotaries alot. Only reason i am a member is because my wife had one in the past and you can find out good info here about rx8.

SO again the motor is here if you want it. If not why waste both or time. And if you think i have an attitude call me....

NO the motor is not sold... few guys have text me and made promises but no cash.
Remember its a junk motor for parts or RR you may know somthing i am looking and could be a good deal for you

So if you don't care at all, then either accept a reasonable offer and move on, or take it to the scrapyard and claim your $25 in scrap value that it'll bring (scrap metal is currently around $11/100lb here).

Based on your attempts to get the highest bids possible in this thread, it seems as though you do care.

I don't see any need to call you, I'm not looking to jump through hoops to give you money. The legwork is yours to do to get paid. You have my offer and my reasoning for that offer. Take it or leave it. If you think it will sell at a higher price and you want to hold out, fine, more power to you, that's just what the gamble is worth to me. If you want to try and make a deal and sell it to me, then contact me via pm or directly (it's not hard to find out how). If not, good luck.

Yeah...You guys should definitely bitch at each other over the phone...You know...Because that's what tough men do.

On another note...Since it's junk, you may have better luck if you drop the price...$400 plus the cost of shipping will practically come out to almost half the cost of a new engine.

I wouldn't buy it for more than 50. cuz like RR said this is totally a gamble. a big one. you know it's burning coolant so chances are (very likely) that water mate with iron = not cool.

if no one gets it, I take it for 50, where are u located?
