that's a good idea, too. But my 8 only has 20K miles so I will be keeping it for quite some years and I don't want a nice low mile stock shifter to sit for years. But if I can't sell it for good price I will just keep it.

 

Is there any hardware to mount the spare up on the trunk? Can you get a pic? I want to see if it will fit in my s2. Thanks.

Btw, I don't think rx8 come with spare mounting kits. You would have to buy the spare from dealer seperatly bc in my 04 GT only the fix flat kit comes w it which replaces the spare.

Save you the trouble, spare tire and flat tire kit has been sold. OP needs to update sale thread since a lot will not rwad through all the posts!
