I'm going to leave my inner troll out of this...yes they should fit with no issues on a stock rim.
Stock tires from Mazda were 225 / 45-18 which are larger than the tires for sale above*

The tires I have on now are Hankook 225/45/18. What's the difference in the smaller profile size? I'm in LA.

The difference is about 0.8" in diameter. 25.1" for the 225-40, 25.9" for the 225-45.
