I went to Zoom Zoom Live today in the Bay Area, CA.

Not enough time with cars, lots of waiting on line, but driving and seeing the new MX-5 was cool.

The RX-8 course was a bit lacking though -- only 2nd gear used (small course) and they changed to only 1 lap instead of 2 right before I got up to the front of the line.

 

Thanks for the pics. How much time did you spend there? I'm trying to decide how much time to allow for this when it gets to Chicago. I'm signed up for 9:00

I was looking at your pictures and, Geez, every time I see a Subie, I just can't get over how Fugly it really is..makes an Evo look like a Ferrari

 

Was it worth your time to go? It's a 6-7 hour drive for huhwha and I to go so I'm worried about your "lots of waiting in line" comment.

I have been there today. It was fun. The lines were around 40 minute waiting time. One Miata got a damaged clutch. One guy on that course spinned the car several times during the course and was removed from further rides. Overall it was fun. I did not like the thing that we did not get to drive two laps and nobody gave any walkthrough of the course. I got a shitty time though of 45 seconds. The target time was 42. Other than that it was fun. The new Miata feels very fast and more stable. Overall a very fun car to drive. The engine sounds way better than the previous version version.

 

By the way, guys, has anybody been able to get the pictures and times from the event using their site? I attended the event on Sunday, today is Friday and it gives me "coming soon" output when I put my registration ID?! How long does it take?
