When they have no insurance, they tend to be poor...

When this happened to me, I had to go to my own insurance company for the claim, who then dealt with the other driver. My car was not even 30 days old. My insurance company gave me 83% of the money that I paid (cash) for the car 30 days prior. I was in NJ at the time...

In FL, they have something called uninsured motorist insurance coverage.

Sorry to hear that man! Hope everything works out for you.

Also a lot of people get gap insurance to cover the difference if the car is totalled.

Hope you're OK. At least you should get full retail value out of your 8 to replace it. Any pics yet?

Remember if you get a settlement, include your sales tax. You should get a percentage of that back too. But insurance companies often "overlook" that amount.

Ohhhhhh, owww! I had someone pull out in front of me in my last vehicle and they weren't insured either....$250 deductable out of my pocket, total damage was over $3K, nothing like yours at all. I just had a car wash fall apart on mine and just postred the couple of scratches in another thread which pales to yours. Sorry to hear about that. I hope they hang the drunk driver.

That looks like a pretty bad accident. I hope you are ok. I am sure the airbags would have provided some protection.

Man that makes me sick. I'm glad no one was hurt. It looks like the main compartment stayed in tack. What a hit.
