You ordered black Hercules? I'm sure I saw a thread from months back where you claimed it was too dark for the car...! It just shows how flexible the human opinion can be.

Herc, your going to have one hot car.
The only thing is, that i don't think that the wheels look as good with black as they do with other colors. Don't get me wrong, they still look good, but some aftermarket wheels would be even better.:D

wow you're right, it looks great! Sort of like a mofia car :D All the colors look good imho, except yellow. Hmm I hope they release something that looks like Montego Blue for the RX-8; it looked wonderful on the RX-7.

I've been using this pic for my wallpaper the last couple of weeks.

I really wanted to get the Black -- The RX-8 sure looks awesome with the lines in this color. I just did not want to have to wash it all the time to keep it looking good.

I never said that I didn't agree with you now did I. I love black cars and nearly ordered the green from day 1. The process of ending up with Titanium was long and tortuous.

yea i think black is awesome. i always loved black on cars, it's just i thought black exterior with black interior was too much. that's why i was leaning towards silver or titanium. but i'm just weird with colors...i think i'd get that nonetheless when it was time to buy. :P does anyone have any good pics of the black? other than the ones already posted and in the mazda site...i'm looking for them but i don't seem to have much luck finding a black one.

i got myself the black as well...i think black looks very luxurious...the only problem with black is that it looks dirtier quicker than other cars...the slightest water drop is visible...still, black with black leather and tints, oooOOoohh...

btw, anyone know if they come pre-tinted?

i don't like the blue too much, i'd rather get the X-Men blue than the Winning Blue...the X-Men blue resembles the 3000GT blue a lot, which is what i got

Have you seen the Nordic Green? It's similar to Montego Blue- maybe a shade darker.

I love black too! But I have got to tell you that seeing the black right next to the titanium (Detroit) made the black look dull. It just didn't show the great lines and shapes of the car like the titanium does. I did a poll of the guys that went to the show with me and the titanium won hands down as the best color when seeing them in person.

I also orginally ordered black but was talked out of it based on the amount of work it would be to keep it looking good. It is the best color for looks though. I like the way everything blends in like the front dam, rear dam, mirrors and the brake vents etc.
I may regret the change to silver but I'll still love it.

This is obviously a very subjective call- because I would have said the exact opposite! Detroit convinced me NOT to get the titanium and to look more seriously at the black. I thought the black looked amazing, and the titanium looked dull.

I've got to agree that the Black with the Red/Black interior is by far the sexiest of the combos (hence why I'm getting it)... As for washing it, up here in Washington, it drizzles so much that ANY car ends up looking bad two days after washing it, no matter what the color is. Besides, It'll be garaged when not being driven, and I am planning on getting in the habit of stopping at a self-wash car wash by my work on the way home, and just giving my car a hose-down. That keeps the dust off it, and the drive home will usually dry it off pretty nicely (no water spots). Only takes a couple minutes to pop a couple quarters in the car wash and spray away! Of course this doesn't take the place of the weekly car massage... :-)

My w/e car is a black 85 Porsche 930 (911 turbo) with black leather.
I'm just putting it a 40 footer container and shipping it back from here in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia this mid summer.
ONLY 23 K KMS. on her (owned by Prince Sultan's son) (This is the best place in the world to buy 'previously owned' Porsches--dry
climate and no salt whatsoever vs. either coast.)

I enjoy washing her. It is quick and relaxing to do it.
Somethings are just a pleasure.

Bye-the-way, I'm choosing Sunlight Silver. Can't have two black cars!
