Judging from the way some of these women drove they had no reason to be on the track with so many other people. Frankly they should've done qualifying runs and selected the pros to do the driving.

Damn they SUCK!
Look at the middle of the video, damn they were on a straight and one of them just *slap* into the other woman's car for NO freaking reason.
Watching Women formula is like Watching Women basketball/Soccer/Boxing/Tennis ... if you know what I mean.
Yes, I think I can do WAY better than *that*. At least I have yet to hit anybody when going on a straight (she just turned her wheels for no freaking reason)
This whole thing was nothing but a joke. Damn ppl got too much money to waste.

Please, no more generalizing titles... it just perpetuates the stereotyping of any group of people. I know you said "just kidding", but some people just look at the title and nothing else. BTW - some of us females on the forum are kick-*** drivers

OMG...that is too funny. I wont pass judgment on why all those wrecks occured. But, c'mon. If you're sponsored and paid to drive (im assuming they're professionals) thats hsouldnt happen. I can do that. Its not that hard to drive around and smash into someone else. i'm thinking this is more of a PR stunt than anything else.

that's entertaining in an "OMG WTF thats how stupid" kinda way.
When the race started not even 15 seconds into it - one of the women bumped into someone on the right. Idiots.
I know there are some (very cool) women on this site as well that own RX8s, but I will have to agree with whats been said here - I dont like sports in general and i even dislike WOMENS sports even more. This race had to be some kinda stunt or joke because those kinda simple bonehead wrecks shouldnt happen in a real race.

wow... they do suck at driving, especially in the middle of the movie where the first 8 slides sideways... Why the hell is she so stupid too left the 8 move backwards?!?!?! If I was on a track I would stop the car automatically, not slide around and then move backwards...
that formulawoman thing is a joke, I take better control with my 8 on the wet streets than they do on a perfectly maintained track...

I laughed so hard it hurt. I hope nobody was hurt.
That said, poor RX8s and some incidents of poor driving. The worst was the start when one woman just moved to right and sideswiped another 8. lol

Man, guys are just so quick to jump on the "women drivers suck" bandwagon. Tis such a shame, because there are just as many men out there that cannot drive!
Anyways, that was a cool video. It would be nice to understand what they are saying, because I'm sure it would enlighten us to the skill level of the drivers and what kind of race this was.....
A couple of comments to the rants on this thread so far...
1. Going from an open wheel training cart to a full size RX8 on the racetrack can take some adjusting, so I can understand some accidental sideswiping in the beginning of the race. This goes especially if they have no previous track time in that particular car on that particular track.
2. The steering response is also quite different in the RX8 with respect to an open wheel race car, which is just another adjustment to make on the track.
3. If you've ever watched any racing at all, you know that it doesn't take much to make a "bonehead move" and end up wrecked. I don't know how many laps were run in this race, but if they've been going for awhile, tire wear could come into play.
4. As for the person who ended up going backwards across the track.....well once again I'm sure you've seen that happen during professional races too. Maybe these women didn't have the help from "spotters" to tell them where to go to stay out of trouble. Plus since they were all bunched up, it didn't give a lot of time for some to manuever out of the way.
Given enough track time in a particular vehicle on a given track, and anyone can gain enough skill to run some pretty good laps in a race. Come with me to Pocono North course sometime, and I'll show you a woman who can drive! Just ask the guy in this vette who had to let me pass after this lap....

sad thing is that those women drivers are better drivers than most of ppl on this forum....
what kind of motor/car race does not have bumps, hits and spins?
it looks quite a normal race to me and the footage was obviously put together with more than one "exciting" moments......
